They are one of 2 or 3 types of plants that eat animals. Can't really discribe them

i used to have a venus flytrap but it died. While it was alive i had great fun poking it with a stick so that it closed around the stick. Maybe that's why it died

Poor little plant... ah well. They had a venus flytrap on either Blue Peter or How2 or something and showed how they know when a fly has landed - the little hairs on the inside of the 'flower' are triggerd by movement and if three or more move in quick succesion then it's triggerd to close. Isn't nature brillaint? Brilliaaaaaaant!

yeah those hairs are what i was prodding with the stick. I once "dared" a friend to put his finger in. Ouch etc.
