Jim explained this before...it's actually wormholes at BHH...but Black Hole sounded better...so they went with it...there are no actual black holes at BHH...Jim said so...... Worm Holesy High... Right... Anyway, I've been doing a little reading on the subject, and found that Mac was right (Still, there's no reason my theory wouldn't work either. I'll call it a chickenhole.). The two (Or more?) ends of a Wormhole are actually Black Holes. Prepare for another long-winded and completely pointless explanation of a wormhole by me. Okay, imagine the entire of existance as a sheet of paper. In reality, time is four dimensional, but that being too complex for the average human mind to comfortably comprehend without imploding, we'll say it's the third dimension. Using a pencil you can poke a hole in the paper, and it'll 'dip' slightly into 3D (Time) rather than being like the rest of the paper, 2D (Space). In the same way, using a large collapsed star (AKA, Black Hole) you can make a dip into 4D (Time), rather than the rest of the universe, 3D (Space). Back to the paper, let's imagine these dips have the immense gravitational pull that Black Holes do, and have the impossibility to seperate from the rest of the paper that space does. The two points would be instantly pulled toward each other, and since the paper would fold, the difference between one of the Black Holes and the other would be not only through distance, but time. This is, basiclly, a Wormhole. The reason this is impossible to have at a boarding school though, is it's impossible to enter such a high level of gravity without being diffused into sub-atomic dust.

I've recorded Lucas' and Marshall's room to be room 32. In Tesseract, however, I am virtually positive that Lucas walks into room 33. Room 33's number can be seen when Lucas walks up the stairs for the first time after the introduction and he is arguing with himself if what happened really happened. He stands in front of the door for about 2 seconds (if anyone wants to try to zoom in on the screen at that moment). I forget where I got Room 32's number though. Anyone know an episode where you see Lucas' and Marshall's room number as 32 (don't say Cold or Lifetime, I already searched those).
regarding our thoughts about Professor Middleton not changing his calender, we're wrong. Lucas acknowlodges that Professor Middleton disappeared to the date corresponding to the date on the poster, April 1st (he said, "Look at that poster. April 1st, the date Professor Middleton disappeared."). That is established fact. Since we know that no spring fair occured the next day, the day that Lucas tried to turn in his paper there was a spring fair in the hours leading up to Professor Middleton's disappearence and would therefore be April 1st (so, technically, Professor Middleton disappeared 12am April 2nd but that technicality of time usually never applied. I just say it so people don't become excited about the Prof Middleton disappearing on April Fools day.). This means that it is the poster contains mistakes.

I've only seen up to Camouflage, but I have to admit Tesseract is my favourite so far this season.

April 1 2001 was a Sunday...
October 4 1987 was a Sunday...
April 11 1977 was a Monday...
so when does everyone think the floating qigong ball was created? 2002? 1977? or some other year entirely?

*nods*...
Tesseract aired today on NBC... and no graphics for next week... only a preview of Camouflage...
and I'm still having a problem with that 'Spring Fair' poster and the date...

Something just occured to me. The wormhole doesnt make accidents. The previous janitor was sucked in to make room for our Janitor, and Middleton was sucked in because of his meddling with the tesseract device. And we know that thoughts can open up the wormhole. But what about other times, such as the one that sucked in Corrine, tried to suck in Z, or other such non-intentional or subconcious (Past was subconcious, for example) trips. They could be related to the turning on of Victor's wormhole device (the Janitor tells Josie and Vaughn exactly when to leave), but there are other times when the wormhole device isnt even on. What causes those trips?

I'm going to gived a simple answer:
Aveneer.
Thats how I see it. He's is the puppet master in my eyes (boy, all these posts are going to be so obsolete if Season 4 comes along and he's a good guy) and has the technology to open wormholes.
He's already shown knowledge of the future, so I'm guessing he's wanting the future in his way. He felt Corrine needed to meet Sarah (although whether or not Sarah was meant to lock away her memories) and other things.
I'm actually more wondering, and this thread probably isn't the right place for it, but did tyler open the wormhole by thought, or was it opened by someone else?

I was thinking about that. I think he opened it by thought but Aveneir controlled his destination. Then he struck a deal with Aveneir when he met him.

Scott, you should have started a thread on "Wormhole Properties", it's not too late yet.
Victor's machine was operating in Echolocation, but the wormhole didn't open then. I think the wormhole is a multi-layered multi-functional entity. that's the only way to explain the 'events' that don't correlate.
strange that Josie, Professor Z and the Janitor all seem to appear at around the same time.
but we know the Janitor was in the old Pearadyne pic, and Z was previously at Pearadyne. maybe it's one of those...you can never really leave...deals.
or maybe the secret of BHH is that it's a tesseract trapped in a tesseract trapped in a tesseract...
