yeah i agree! i think that she is more distant emotionally as she doesnt need the advice that josie does s she thinks she can always handle it on her own!! I think she may think she can handle it on her own, but setting such high standards for herself, and only letting her depend on herself, makes it so she cant handle it herself.

Not only that, the way they talk to each other is not really student/ teacher but more associates. And I have a question. In what episode did Prof Z tell them he got a scholarship from Victor? Because in Who? Corrine was the first to tell Victor, and I quote "Didn't you give him a scholarship? And bring him to Blake Holsey?" I don't remember him (Z) telling anyone he got a scholarship from Victor up until Corrine announced it.
Also, I feel Corrine's influence is a bit more powerful then many think. But I am still shipping C/M, though my C/V is strongly grabbing hold.
Oh, but I developped a new theory about C/M that I think would be appreciated...
And about her letting people in, I think she has, they just don't question her much which is a fault of them.

Z tells us where he got his scholarship in Fate, when Josie asks "Why were you flipping hamburgers?"

Yes, it was only Josie and Z, now unless Josie told the rest of them its cool but there is no evidence of that Kaytee

I do think Josie probably told the others that Victor gave Z a scholarship - like ICWP said, it seems likely that as she's really into getting to the bottom of the mystery, that's the sort of info she'd share. I've seen no evidence to suggest that Corrine has told anybody, even Josie about what happened in Hemispheres. I like to think that she hasn't because a) it's nothing to do with the mystery and b) she didn't seem incredibly forthcoming at the end of the episode. I think that if she had told anybody, we probably would have seen it because it would have been important for her character development (to show her really opening up to somebody).

**this is getting off topic.**
looking back at the episodes, except Hemispheres which seems to be the exception for almost anything, I don't remember Z giving advice to Corrine. in Thursday, it was Josie in Who, it was the janitor in pheromones, Josie tried to encourage Corrine in Ecosystems, it was Josie in Equation, it was Marshall in Allure, it was Josie

In my opinion I don't really see anyone giving advice to Corrine. Even her conversations with the janitor. It's mostly them understanding what each other is saying rather than Corrine saying... "what the? Huh? I don't get you!" or even "who are you and why are you telling me this?" She just gets it as if its orders and knows what to do next.
Also, when Z talks to her in Equation, it was more of a business type exchange, no sappy moments. Even at the begining he looked at her for approval of whether or not he could ask questions....

in Wormhole...Z saved both Corrine and Josie...so helped Corrine then...
I think that's about the only time so far (through Nanotechnology)... he offered in Equation but Corrine wanted to do it herself...
I think the reason he helps Josie...and he and Josie get along so well is because Josie is the only one who doesn't have a father...he's her 'replacement' father as such...
and I know Vaughn doesn't have a mother but I don't really see Durst filling that void...Vaughn's just on his own...could explain a lot...*nods*...

in Wormhole...Z saved both Corrine and Josie...so helped Corrine then... well, he had to go back to get Josie. Lucas and Marshall to Z: "You've got to help us. Josie got sucked into a hole in the floor!" Z thinks, "great, I can go save her and take her off into the sunset! Oh, Corrine needs saving too." (IvyCeltress, was that good? *hehehe* I just finished typing a thing in the "more Lucas/Josie" thread and i'm like, "if not Lucas or Vaughn, who is left?")

Z thinks, "great, I can go save her and take her off into the sunset! Oh, Corrine needs saving too." Z did go and get Corrine and Josie. What he didn't do was have a little chat with Corrine about her problems and how she could fix them. Partly because there was no need, partly because if they had done that, the series would have been very short because the main protagonist and two other main characters would have gone KER-SPLAT in the explosion.

True, but he spent enough time teaching them about black holes and magnetism.
