It's a thing with fanfictions. It adds to them when you're waiting for chapters. I guess it reminds people of comic books. I understand that...suspense can be good. Personally, I find it easier to grasp the story and provide feedback if I can read it all at once, or in a couple of sessions. Besides, as has been pointed out, most people just post a chapter or two and then quit, or wait months between chapters. Grrr....Excellent idea.

Some people would continue if others would review....*hint hint* I'm updating mine on FF.net but not here because I have no proof anyone's reading. One review and I would be off!

Personally, I think a writer should finish a story because they love writing and they take pride in their work, not so that they can get lots of praise and squee!-ing...but I guess that's just me. (shrug).

I do take pride in my work and I love writing, but I don't want to take up space if no one is reading. There's no point. (Squee!-ing?)

(shrug). I've seen too many stories go discontinued. In my opinion, a writer should know the ending of his/her story before posting it, even if that ending does change due to events during the story. That way, a goal (the end of the story) is known, which makes it easier to accomplish. Something is easier to accomplish when you can see the ending.

I always know the endings of my story, I just aim too high and get caught in the middle.

I agree too many stories are left unfinished, but it may be sometimes from lack of interest by the readers.

I write fanfics...but not BHH fanfics. I can never get a good enough idea. I'm more for Harry Potter fanfics.
