I've been advised to get this several times. I too have heard good things. I think I'll get it - what can it hurt? It's free and if it's better than IE then that's all for the good

Agree! ;D I've had very little problems, and it's much easier to have tabs in the window rather than a bunch of windows open. I also love the pop-up blocker. I've had it since last year. I'm converting my family to it from ie.

Hmm... it's not actually faster than IE in my case but it's much less oppressive and the tabs system is about a million times fore efficent than opening many windows All in all, it's pretty funky - thaks for the link, Lauren!

I've heard many-a-time that Firefox is better than IE, but unfortunately I am extremely happy with Windows IE. I think it does what it should do fine. In what ways exactly is Firefox better? Someone please enlighten me .

Someone please enlighten me . Not much, really. It's supposed to be faster, but isn't (not on my computer), it looks slightly cooler, but only slightly - the only real difference is the tabs system - it means you can open up more than one webpage at once without opening up another window (so your bar at the bottom of the screen doesn't have to be filled up with stuff - useful if you're on MSN or something. It's cool, but unless I'm missing something major here, not that much to shout about. But then again, it IS free and is working to break Microsoft's stranglehold on the internet so I think it's pollitically correct to like it as it's for a cause and all that. At this point if anybody would like to sing an anti-Bill Gates revolutionary song, do go ahead.

Someone please enlighten me . Because ultimately, IE is an unstable piece of crap. Firefox is more secure (built in pop-up blocker), profiling abilities, free, has better features, is more customisable to the users wills and is not Microsoft. I... am too lazy to link to the large number of plugins you can get for it, sadly.

Firefox is more secure (built in pop-up blocker), profiling abilities, free, has better features, is more customisable to the users wills and is not Microsoft. I... am too lazy to link to the large number of plugins you can get for it, sadly. For 90% of people, IE is free, as it comes with the Windows computer they bought. I personally find nothing wrong with Microsoft Windows, IE, etc. I think it all works great. I cannot understand why everyone moans so much about it. They moan about IE (no offence, Gouki) - I have no problems; they moan about security - I keep my anti-virus up to date, and have no problems; they moan about Win. XP SP2 - I have no problems, and in fact my system has run faster since installing SP2. I would sing a pro-Bill Gates song here, but I am tired. Finally, I am a creature of habbit - I am used to IE, and would not change to Mozilla Firefox unless I had to.

WOAH THERE! I didn't say you guys HAD TO. it was a suggestive thing. whatever floats your boat is fine with me. so i hope no one is mad at me. on another note: Unless you guys forgot what happened to this computer, you would not understand why my sister needs this program. Sure some of you may have virus software and such, but my sister doesn't. and because of being in IE and without protection, her computer has gotten severely damaged. It wasn't my fault, it's hers. She doesn't know how to take care of her computer. I kept telling her over and over what to do, and she didn't listen. I got this software because I just can't deal with the popups and the other problems IE is having with this computer ANYMORE! i'm just glad this isn't my computer. this computer has gone through worse things than any of the ones i've had..and i have a feeling it's not over yet okay? okay. not to sound mean or anything.
