...But... The Mars Volta was very clearly defined as a song. What am I missing? You can't go telling me I've failed without saying what it is I'm doing the failing of.

I thought The Mars Volta were a band? Am I wrong?

I think it's a band as well though I've never heard anything by them.

I thought The Mars Volta were a band? Am I wrong? They are a band. Which is why Islander fails.

ICWP, Islander, Adam. They're all so interchangable and easy to forget. You think they're all alike? Well, they have some similar interests, but I've always thought there are very marked differences between all three of them. At least I wasn't included, though. Perhaps the only good thing about being a twisted freak is that you at least tend to stand out from the crowd. ICWP doesn't fail. He recommended We Didn't Start The Fire, thereby earning himself brownie points. Good song.

Hm. Thinking about it, are we the only British males here? I smell a stereotype.
I've taken to listening to Billy Joel's Only the Good Die Young whilst doing my RE homework. It's an irony that never ceases to entertain me.

Start playing Only the Good Die Young in your R.E. lessons. Have I recommended I Only Have Eyes For You by the Flamingos yet? I don't think I have, so I will now. It's one of the songs from American Graffiti, which is a film I rate highly - it's full of 1950s and early 1960s music, since it's set in 1962.

I've become addicted to I-hate-you-you-twatty-twat-headish songs as of late. So far, I have Jet's Look What You've Done, Bob Dylan's Positively 4th Street and Like a Rolling Stone, and Billy Joel's My Life and Big Shot. Any other such recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Anyway. I've gone unnaturally long without recommending any Bowie. So I'll do some now, in alphanumeric order:
1984 After All Big Brother Changes Days Everyone Says 'Hi' Love You Till Tuesday Moonage Daydream Oh! You Pretty Things Rebel, Rebel Seven Starman The Jean Genie The Man Who Sold The World Young Americans
