Am I the only one that thinks Josie's character has lost some spunk? Emma is capable of a lot more! Also, doesn't anyone else think that she is falling over Vaughn just a bit too much? Even Lucas seems to be acting badly towards Emma. Like I mean not his acting skills but his lines towards Josie. It's just awkward and um, not good. Don't get me wrong, I do actually squel in joy when Blake Holsey comes on. The new epsiodes rocks but I love season one the best.

true, it seems Josie has become a love-slave to Vaughn in season 3... although, Transference was high quality acting.

Yea, thats one of the reasons I don't ship J/V... with that she's become less and less edgy, like a girl like Josie would kick Vaughn to the curb after he lied and stole from her... instead they have her boucing around, almost at his beck and call... I like Josie who stood up to people.
When she was in detention she was all like... "shh, we're not supposed to talk" what ever happen to her 'blah authority' attitude... Josie's gone soft.

Emma's acting is always first class. It would be good if the writers just gave her back her season 1 personality.

Kaytee i dont mean to be cutiey but....when youre in love you go all 'daisys and pink' lol you kinda forget about other stuff dont ya! and so her edgy ness hasent gone its just not as noticeable!! and i think the detention scene was so that she didnt get too close and didnt accidently spill the beans if ya get what i mean?!

I find it odd that as Joise has become weaker, Vaughn has become stronger. I see 2 possible reasons for this.
The transference between the two wasn't exactly a perfect transference. Maybe Vaughn kept a little of Josie's authority issues (standing up to his father) and Josie kept some of Vaughn's complacency (not fighting back at Vaughn).
Or simply, Josie truly loves Vaughn and therefore will put up with more of his crap.

lol good point VichyVane.
I kind of agree she softened up a bit but if anyone remembers WAY back in season 1 Josie said she couldn't get close to people because she always got hurt. After that she became a little more trusting and co-dependant.

I think perhaps is shows growth rather than weakness - Josie may be now a bit more secure in her personality that she doesn't feel the need to charge down every authority figure - maybe she's recognised that there's things to be gained by following the rules once in a while. As for being 'weak' over Vaughn, well, I'm not surprised. But really, if she went along with Lucas and refused to ever ever give Vaughn the benefit of the doubt or another chance ever, ever again, wouldn't she be even more weak for just complying with Lucas's viewpoint without there being much in the way of evidence to support it? True, it does sometimes seem that she's going out of her way not to beleive Lucas, but what's giving somebody another chance if it's only in word but not in thought? Plus, ask yourself this: What's really the sign of strength? Showing trust or showing suspicion? I know that when I trust somebody, it takes a lot more strength and power than it does to be mistrustful. I agree with GonnaBeAStar on this one - it shows that she's move on as a person from the girl who used to kick out at everybody, never letting them close in case they hurt her - that. to me, makes her stronger and more emotionally intelligent than she used to be. Being punky and causing trouble isn't the only way to be strong - anybody who's read Jane Eyre will know that And also, like Vichyvane said (er, sort of) just wait until you've seen the rest of the series until you make your mind up

That's what I'm thinking too... the JSM did say "more is transferred than is known"... with the first eight Season 3 episodes... Vaughn has become more bold...more of his own person...Vaughn has shown he has backbone to Victor...Vaughn was the one who got Lucas to come back...Vaughn seems to have aquired some of Josie's fire... Josie has lost some of her edge...not so take charge anymore...like she actually thinks before she acts...and has aquired some of Vaughn's morals... seems more than Vaughn's memories were transferred... hmmm...has anyone else wondered if Josie got Vaughn's memories what of Josie's did Vaughn get...something of Josie's should have also transferred to Vaughn...but that wasn't explored...hmmm... I do not expect it to last though...Josie will regain her fire and Vaughn will once again become a lump...oh well...
