Found this on a web site... Hope ya haven't seen it before.
Emma Taylor-Isherwood AKA Josie answers our questions:
How did you get involved in the show?
I auditioned in Toronto and got a got a call-back. Then it came down to a final three and it was nerve wracking. I found out that I had the role when I was camping and we were dancing and screaming all through the park. I must have scared the wildlife for miles.
Do you all get on with each other?
Definitely, we all get along really well and I love working with such expert actors. Valerie, (Principle Durst) Lawrence (Victor Pearson), Jeff (Professor Z) and Tony (The Janitor.) are all amazing. It is enjoyable to work with actors who give you support, advice and encouragement.
Did any of you do any acting before you got the parts on BHH?
I have been acting since I was nine and have had quite a number of roles. I had the amazing experience of portraying a young Judy Dench in a film called The Shipping News.
Has anything spooky happened on set?
Crew members have reported feeling a presence, especially in the basement. However, nothing has happened to me personally. On Halloween we went exploring in the basement but I’m sorry to report that nothing weird happened. The security guards have reported hearing doors slamming on the top floor and cold breezes blowing when all the windows were shut.
Are you anything like your characters in BHH?
I love playing the role of Josie because she is such a strong complex character. I'm a lot like her in some ways but not in others. I will stand up for myself if a situation calls for it but I wouldn't challenge authority as much as she does. I am definitely not as messy as she is.
What were you like at school?
I still attend school and I pay as much attention as I can in class because school time is important to me. I never know when I might leave to film or to audition.
Is BHH anything like your real school?
I attend a performing arts school. It is nothing like BHH it is a lot more like the School in the episode called Hemispheres.
Who in the cast has the most annoying habit?
That would be me. I used to bite my nails and they were pretty badly chewed up. In between shots people would give me gloves to stop me chewing on them. I’m happy to say that I am no longer a nail biter and my nails and hands are so nice now I can’t believe it.
What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s ever happened to you on set?
It was when the wardrobe department decided that in one scene Josie would wear a bikini. I said that Josie would not wear a bikini in that situation. On Monday morning there was an orange bikini and a BHH scarf in my room. I began to suspect a practical joke. I called their bluff. I put on the bikini and marched down to set. To everyone’s amazement, I held up the scarf and asked the director (who was in on the joke) "How would you like me to wear this" The whole set cracked up laughing.
What do you enjoy most about filming BHH?
I love the crew, the laughs and the incredible scripts. I have learned so much from the crew about camera angles, lighting and how to set up shots. They will always take the time to explain to me the why and how of the filming process.
Can you tell us a bit of gossip about one of the other cast members?
I try not to gossip. But someone, possibly Michael, gets us in trouble by offering us bright coloured popsicles. This is not good as our mouths are then stained bright red, purple or green and it is'nt good to be on camera with a brightly coloured tongue.
Science questions:
Which human body part pumps blood round your body?
The Heart.
What is the chemical formula for water?
H2O.
What’s heavier, a ton of feathers or a ton of lead?
Tricky, they are both the same, a ton is a ton.
