Can't wait! I think I'll be including some fake Proff Z hair in mine! Or, his costume includes wearing a wig! Heehee, it would be funny if Vaughn went as normal but with a little sticker or badge saying God!? The only problem is, is that it was used on Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Shucks!

Actually, I'm going to do some research real fast on the actor who plays Prof. Z... I have a hunch but my lips are zipped right now!

What hunch? hunch about what? A hunch about his hair? *is disturbed* Will we be getting a challenge fic from you, Joe? You know, Indigo and I can't be the only writers here!

Yeah, It was a hunch about his hair, people noted that it looked like a wig, and I did a quick search but couldn't find it... plus it relates personally (nothing life-threatening!) so I was a bit interested...

Okeydokey! Still no ideas on what the challenge can be then? *sigh* Nobody queing up to join in? I can't have a fanfic challenge all on my own! It's be like having a party but nobody where nobody comes. And I'd be sat all alone in my party-dress and a silly hat, surrounded by food that nobody will eat *lip wobble* Oh! The flashbacks! [glow=red,2,300]WRITE, PEOPLE, WRITE!!![/glow]

I had an interesting idea for a general challenge today, nothing special, not marking any particular holiday or anything. A fic about anything you like, any length you like but you have to include a certain amount of specified quotes from different things (I was mainly going to suggest quotes from Star Trek, Red Dwarf, Buffy and Sherlock Holmes plus maybe a few from other more random things) in aaaany context you like. I might set it. I'll have to get quotes first.

"I just can't do it, Captain! I don't have the power!" ;D

Right, I reckon it's too late to start a proper halloween challenge and I can't think of any particular criteria. But this is a request for halloween fics, if anybody wants to write them. I'll make it a minor challenge, but not one where we pick a winner. In fact, this can be a challenge to bear in mind for every fic you write. SPG - spelling, punctuation and grammar - try to get them as accurate as you can. Using a spell checker helps as does getting somebody to look through it for you first (i.e. a beta reader) Plot - plots are good especially when they're interesting and original and easy to follow. Characterisation - getting the characters as spot on as you possibly can. For example, Corrine is not going to come out with a string of expletives, Josie is not going to dye her hair blonde and go shoe-shopping with madison and Lucas won't suddenly turn into a ladies man. If you can't imagine them saying/doing it in the show, then they shouldn't be saying/doing it in your fic (unless of course their behaviour is being altered by some weird event). Getting the facts straight - not very hard, if you're truly obsessed. just little things like remembering what colour eyes people have, what has gone before things like that. Continuity - if one minute somebody is talking to one person and the next, that same person walks into the room and sits down then, unless this is due to a weird event (if it is, make this clear), people are going to get confused. Pace - try to pace yourself when writing. I know it's easy to get carried away and just write as much as you can as fast as you can but try taking a break, reading through what you've typed and go through slowly, do corrections, add descriptions and basically, improve it. It really does make for better fics that are easier for other people to read. There's more but i'm too tired to go throught everything right now. Okay, I'm removing the sanctimonious lecture hat now. You can wake up.
