I had actually been working on it for more than a year now. I was not making a lot of progress and wasn't trying a lot because I thought tvtome would always be there. When it shut down, that's when I picked up speed and effort on it. I kept it unrevealed because I was afraid that I was going to stop. I actually deleted two attempts to make my own site on the show before this one. I mean, I hate those websites that start with the basics and then get abandoned so I waited (perhaps an excessively long time) before I gave the link out to everyone. There were a small few who I gave the link to for testing/proofreading and ideas. So, here it is: www.geocities.com/rainbowwing2000/BHH/bhh.html

I just checked out your page. Very MC-like I especially enjoyed the video. I had never heard Emma's real voice (nor from any other cast member but Rob's actually) so that gave it a definite plus!

Thanks Lauren and shivers.
very MC-like?
Maybe I can make recordings of each of the characters saying something.
I'm currently annoyed with Geocities' add bar. If anyone knows a host that provides 15MB space, I'm open to recommendations.

Nice. Detailed and informative. What did you use to make it? Problems I've noticed: The links on the left aren't always the same on every page. For example, the link to "The Unabridged Guide to Navigating Wormholes" does not appear on the characters page. On the crew page the writing could be made a bit smaller to prevent line-breaking when the darned ad bar is up (if you can't get a better), and it's best to keep things like that uniform throughout the site anyway. It might be a good idea to include a short, paragraph-sized, fairly spoiler-free runthrough of the episodes as well as the page-long descriptions. And it might also be a nifty idea to link all the sciency terms and people to sites that explain what they're about or who they are, if you don't mind spending the time to look. And lose the counter. (What sort of counter is it, anyway?) It's great viewed privately, but if you show it on the site then either you seem not worth the trouble since so few people are visiting, or it seems boastful to flash such a big number around. As for an alternate host, my friend used atspace: www.atspace.com. That offers 50MB of space.

Hurrah! Tis unleashed upon the public at last! You've deffinitely got some good ideas (eg. The Unabridged Guide to Navigating Wormholes is inspired in both title and purpose). I'm having a bit of a problem with the text on the episodes pages thoug - it keeps overlapping with the pictures I'm not sure whether that's just my computer though...

Love your website MC! Especially the info about Lucas. I had no idea that Lucas' room number was 32! One of my favorite numbers! Now I just have another reason to like it more! Keep it up MC!

Love all the information--your site reads like an encyclopaedia. Aside from what have already been pointed out, sometimes the bold font is inconsistent, such as the headings and on some pages ("plot outline" and "The Science").
If you're concerned with how other visitors view your site, I typically use 800x600 resolution and Firefox. It looks fine except for the text and pictures overlapping in the episodes pages.
So atspace.com? I might look into that myself. About geocities.com and the ridiculous ads, I think only geocities.com has them. ca.geocities.com and uk.geocities.com don't.

Besides some very minor problems, very good work, MC! It's very organized, very detailed and very informative. That's three v's! As said, a small summary of every episode would be a good idea. Maybe I can make recordings of each of the characters saying something. That would be a GREAT idea, for us people who get the show translated.

Nice. Detailed and informative. What did you use to make it? Notepad <_< The links on the left aren't always the same on every page. For example, the link to "The Unabridged Guide to Navigating Wormholes" does not appear on the characters page. ooops. That is a result of when the pages were created. That glossery page was the latest idea. It might be a good idea to include a short, paragraph-sized, fairly spoiler-free runthrough of the episodes as well as the page-long descriptions. And it might also be a nifty idea to link all the sciency terms and people to sites that explain what they're about or who they are, if you don't mind spending the time to look. yeah, I'm going to go back and write short descriptions eventually. Link all the sciency terms? You mean like from the episode to the glossery page? I was thinking about giving the people their own page. Thing is, I really don't know too much about them and the shows/movies they've been in. I'm having a bit of a problem with the text on the episodes pages thoug - it keeps overlapping with the pictures I'm not sure whether that's just my computer though... that's weird. On all of them? I have an idea why though. I'm really not seeing where the bold font is inconsistant

HTML? In that case, copy and paste is your friend. If you make yourself a sort of "Template" for all the headings and the side column and stuff, then you can just copy it and fill in the blanks for every new page. I also recommend tables (if you don't use them, but I think you do anyway.), and a text editor that recognises HTML a little better than Notepad. I use JCreator. It's actually made for Java programming but you can do HTML with it and it has the useful feature of colour-highlighting things such as tags and anchors.
Actually I mean off site - to somewhere that gives more info about the topic than you want to or can give. Like a Wikipedia article, or something. (though I don't recommend linking to Wikipedia as you usually get the complex descriptions over there so it'll go right over the heads of most of the target audience.)
Michael Seater was in Redwall and Lawrence Bayne was in Donkey Kong Country. There's a start.
Perhaps you can have more than one actor to a single page?

I'm really not seeing where the bold font is inconsistant Some pages have bold text while some don't. The text on the pages "Plot Outline" and "The Science of Strange Days at Blake Holsey High" are in regular font while most other pages are bold. Some page headings are underlined and some aren't. Overall, I wouldn't worry about it, but I can be really attentive to detail. Here's a tip I got from a workshop about Dreamweaver: use Sans Serif fonts (e.g., Arial, Verdana) as they're easier to read.

Yeah, I type all the html from what I learned in school and what I picked up from tvtome when I had more power to mold the guides I edited. The layout is actually done with a stylesheet. This has often been the cause of text and pic overlap on my computer. It doesn't happen on my computer anymore so I thought it was fine. I chose CSS because, back when I began mapping out the site, I was very inexperienced with tables and CSS was easier to copy and paste. Now that I'm becoming more confident with tables in my experimenting, I'll be switching over to them. I'm really not seeing where the bold font is inconsistant Some pages have bold text while some don't. The text on the pages "Plot Outline" and "The Science of Strange Days at Blake Holsey High" are in regular font while most other pages are bold. It looks bold to me :/ I'm actually using the H4, not the bold code. Maybe that is the problem... In the TOS at www.atspace.com, it says I can't keep non-html files there. Does that mean i can't keep video clips and sound files, like the introduction I have on the Introductions page? I cannot find this mentioned in the Geocities TOS.

I think the site is great, MC! Thanks for posting the link. I particularly like the lengthy episode synopses, since I haven't seen most of the episodes, and reading the guides is a big help. Thanks!

At one time I was thinking of making my own webpage. I signed up here: www.topcities.com I found it easy to use, and they give you 150MB of space. I have your page bookmarked and will give you my opinion ASAP.
