I believe my response when I saw her was "AND WHO THE HELL IS SHE!" Tyler can't flirt with one girl and be being dragged off by another!
I nearly fell over when she turned out to be a teacher....

I dont think he was trying to impress her. He could have done a better job than that. He was trying to distract her from finding out that Josie was no longer in the detention hall.

I watched this the other day and Indy pointed out to me that she's actually a bit sort of... waspish and mean. That whole lovebirds thing was totally uncalled for... But yeah, she did seem a bit young and inexperienced with the random ways of Z (you're right, Kirsty, she sounded like she was one moment was from stamping her foot and yelling 'that is SO UNFAAAAIIIRR!'). maybe she's a new to the job - in my old school it was always the young, new teachers who got the worst classes and stuff (yes, the headmistress probably did find it funny)
