Question: If Vaughn knows how to get inside Pearadyne, why on earth don't they go in there more often? Even take Z! Vic must go on trips sometime. I've wondered that too. Hide in the elevator? yeah, Victor will never think to check in there if he things something suspicious is going on. Vaughn did meet his mother in Fate. Marshall was so out of character! He isn't the jealous type. again, C/M only has negative moments. The writers may have been able to work C/M into non-filler plots but C/M remains a negative aspect. So, Sarah was working against Victor? This is strange because in Nocturnal, it sounded like she was working with Victor. That storyline doesn't make sense. She tells Vaughn that she may have to go away and then gives Victor the pendant. Victor was there. Later, Sarah turns against Victor because she has her own plans? I mean, allowing Pearadyne to be distroyed is working against Victor. That man who was trying to get Sarah into the shelter was Victor, right? he looked a bit different.

I loved this episode... Marshall was so cute being all worried. Funny how MC mentioned him being out of character... Marshall is capable of having many facets to him. I never really took Vaughn to be a private person... I mean I didn't really think of him that way, I'm glad his character is being explored more.
As for C/M bringing out "negatives" how so? jealousy is a part of people, it's how we handle the situation that brings out either -ve (i.e kill- ok, a bit extreme) or +ve (trust; which seems to be a major issue on this show).
I think Shadia did such a superb job... I applaud her... she may just get another nomination! I liked the Corrine/ Vaughn story because those two didn't really get a chance to really interact before so I'm glad at this. Oh how suspicious was that Sarah/ Corrine scene... now I know it was like 5 seconds but something tells me the conversation didn't begin and end there, there must have been much more. It did take a while for Josie to come get Corrine so, I'm sure there is much more to this. As for her memory being erased it might have been leading up to the point where the major focal point is... I don't know what it is yet, but ooo I hope there is season 4, or at least Jim tells us how the story was supposed to lay out.
I wonder who the Janitor was referring to... I'd say Corrine but then again... idk... Vaughn mentioned Corrine being the only one besides Victor he knows talked with his mother... wouldn't Z have spoken to Sarah once if he had an internship there? I mean their conversation could have been:
Sarah: Noel I need some coffee Z: Right away Ms. Pearson
Speaking of Z how funny was he today... lol... where the hell was he going with that jack hammer at the end?! SOOOOOOOOO FUNNY!!! I think it's one of the funniest moments I've seen on this show... just picturing it, pure comedy.
And what's with Vaughn bringing the girls down to P1? I think he's taking a few lessons from Lucas... I agree with that lone student in the hall, Vaughn's a playa!!! And yea, they showed Liam today... And what was this Lucas and the whole yanking Corrine and Vaughn apart... so funny.
Line of the episode goes to Marshall when Josie and Lucas are trying to pull the blocks apart...
Marshall: Pull! PULLLL!!!
I enjoyed Marshall in this episode... his lines were so funny.

That's funny what Joe said because I am in Ohio right now and also missed the beginning because of the news cutting in talking about snow :-P
I liked this episode though! Although yeah the whole theme with them being worried about Vaughn and Corrine becoming more than just friends was a but forced, I agree that it was interesting to see an interaction between V and C being that we normally don't.
I think I need to watch more of the past episodes to full make my own theory about the "truth" about BHH but the whole issue with Corrine's involvement is interesting!

Funny how MC mentioned him being out of character... Marshall is capable of having many facets to him. He isn't the jealous type. Look at Invisible and Allure. You see Marshall has a very carefree attitude. Jealously is beneath him. Jealousy is his hemispheres counterpart. As for C/M bringing out "negatives" how so? jealousy is a part of people, No, it's that the plots with C/M are always based on a negative thing. Yes, J/V has trust issues but you see them in positive scenes (like in Stopwatch and Nutrition). You never see Corrine and Marshall play a game of chess or anything like that. They're always at the brink of catastrophe. The idea of Vaughn and Corrine cheating on Josie and Marshall was random. There is no support of this anywhere. Like in all episodes that contain a C/M plot, there's something randomly placed to make the plot work in the episode. And what's with Vaughn bringing the girls down to P1? wow *lol* That's really all i can say about that. I really thought Victor would have cleaned up all of that though, if he is reopening it. overall, I did like the episode. I need PI to reopen for a new skit *nods*

The only time he's been seen being remotely jealous is with Grant, and then he didn't go around stoping, beating his chest and trying to be alpha male, did he? He was more quietly resentful. I'd say he was sort of jealous in Invisible because his thunder was being stolen, but once again, it was quiet mumbling most of the time. He certainly didn't bash on and make it obvious, he had one rant and that was it. In short, the behaviour displayed in Friction is not in-fitting with Marshall's character.
*whistles innocently* What? I'm busy!
Now there's something I agree with. There's probably more to that than meets the eye... I'd say there's deffinitely more locked away in Corrine's memory somewhere. Possibly she knows it, maybe she doesn't - either way, I want to know what it is!
I vote we don't get too much into the C/Mness on this one. I reckon one reason it was put there was to spark debate about that and distract us from the point of the ep which would be 'How much does Corrine know?'

I also want to mention that Corrine seemed to know exactly where the elevator buttons were before Vaughn indicated any direction towards them... suspicious. And I feel jealousy lingers in all, Marshall is not immune to it Kaytee

Oh, I'm not arguing with that. What I'm arguing with is whether Marshall would go nuts like that. All the other times he's had such an issue, he's just mostly seethed internally... Him going all authoritarian is just not like him. It would be like if Josie ran over to Madison, squealed and say 'I love that skirt!' and wasn't being sarcastic. Or if Lucas was suddenly mocking UFO spotters. It's just out of character and weird...

I'm a little suprised at some of the negative reaction to this episode. I thought it was interesting and very important! I agree that the C/M-ness was weird and out of nowhere, but let's not let that detract from the real issues here.
I'm all for any episode that gives us more about the Pearsons, so I was lovin' this ep. (Plus, it was informative for fanfic purposes Robbie and Shadia did a good job today. And Victor actually made an appearance, even if it wasn't much.
I know I will have to go back and re-watch to totally understand, but basically Sarah was unwilling to leave because that was the day she was going to the future, right? I don't think she started working against Victor, I think she was just obsessed with meeting her goal and wouldn't let anything or anyone stop her. She did push Victor to safety, right?
The question remains (I've asked this a dozen times, I know): assuming that Sarah went to the future that day, does Vic KNOW that or does he really think she died in the explosion? Also, did Sarah mean to be gone as long as she has been? We know she left willingly, but I'm guessing she didn't mean to miss out on her son's whole childhood.
Finally, a quote for you to finish with. "Hey, now they'll have to take showers together!"- My husband when Vaughn and Corrine first got stuck together.

I liked it, too, but I missed the first few minutes due to weather reports so I'll have to watch it again later. (We're up to five inches of snow now, I think.) The interaction between Corrine and Vaughn was great. Loved how they were sliding Vaughn's hand. Now that had to be uncomfortable. I did notice Z's jackhammer. He went a little crazy about separating the metal cubes.
When Sarah wiped out Corrine's memory, anyone recalled Men in Black? I wouldn't have thought the technology would have existed then ... or in a watch.

(Plus, it was informative for fanfic purposes Robbie and Shadia did a good job today. agreed. I'm sorting my thoughts on a new script. HailStorm's insights are fueling them. HailStorm's being a bad influence with her psychology... Finally, a quote for you to finish with. "Hey, now they'll have to take showers together!"- My husband when Vaughn and Corrine first got stuck together. I actually thought that they may have had to sleep together, which has multiple connotations. 88Keys, I want to say that your husband is PI worthy *lol* When Sarah wiped out Corrine's memory, anyone recalled Men in Black? I wouldn't have thought the technology would have existed then ... or in a watch. I forgot about that. She probably got it from the future. Isn't there something about flashes of light making you forget things? I actually thought Corrine was suffering from temperal psychosis. too much star trek for me

It's also a good job that nobody had to, um, go to the little scientist's room Bwahahahaha! Well, it's what psychology is for ;D *sprays a delicate fountain of ribena over computer screen* *splutters* Well... yes, deffinitely more than once meaning there. Or it might have happened like this: Sarah: Now look into the pretty light.. Corrine: *gawps* Oooh... Sarah: *winks at lackey* Lackey: Applies small wooden mallet to Corrine's head.

I both liked and disliked this episode. It was very good story moving. And Robbie and Shadia did a good job with the whole "we're stuck together!" thing. It looked realistic. What I didnt like was Marshall. I like C/M, but built right. They suddenly go from "corrine chasing marshall" to "they're together, established, and marshall is inexplicably jealous". It didnt flow right.
What was great though is the Janitor playing chess against himself. When the Janitor wonders who's going to be the real threat, I think its Corrine, because Corrine may interfere with Josie and Vaughn, and they probably have to be together for some reason. I wonder why the Janitor isnt worried about Lucas. Maybe because Lucas doesnt have a prayer of a chance.
Why didnt anybody notice this before: SARAH HAD THE SAME WATCH AS JOSIE2!! The same flip open superwatch as Josie2. We know how J2 got it, she was sent to the Janitor's place of origin. Which, considering that Sarah was going to the future, is probably the future. So maybe the Janitor is from the future. After all, in Hemispheres, Sarah was wearing the same thing in the hologram as Josie2 was. I know that the Janitor wouldnt have that ugly black suit to be incogneto, but I wonder why he doesnt have the watch. Maybe he comes from the same place and time as Sarah, but rebelled against her, and Josie2 decided to side with the Janitor because he showed so much kindness to her in Fate.
Which only leaves two questions: how did Sarah get the watch in the past, and is she bad or good? She knew the coordinates for the future somehow. I doubt it was just a random "I wanna go 100 years!". Someone came back and told her, and gave her the watch. And even though I havent watched or been spoiled about Past, I wonder if it was Aveneir who did it. And it also makes me wonder if the strange things that happen at BHH are due to Pearadyne, the wormhole, or something else. Maybe the wormhole isnt even by Pearadyne. But I'll save those suspicions for Past. As for Sarah being good or bad, I'm still not sure. She seemed very snappy and mean to Victor, but maybe she was being bad to be good. She sounded all evil-like. But she did protect Victor and brainwashed rather than hurt Corrine. She might be good, but if it is Aveneir, she's probably bad. Maybe it was Sarah who summoned Tyler. I wonder why she needs the pendant. I dont think its "to know you're hearing this" anymore, since that's what the biometric activation system was for. Whichever way Sarah swings, I think the Janitor swings the opposite way.

well...Friction wasn't as bad as I thought it would be...
Friction tied together itself, Wormhole, Lost, Echolocation, and Ecosystems... and Transference/Camouflage/Nanotechnology for Josie2...
and yes I did notice Sarah's wrist device (it's not a watch)...I even rewatched Transference in slowmo to be sure it's the same wrist device and it is *nods*... Josie2 wears it on her left wrist with the flip-up opening away from her to see the inside and Sarah wore it on her right wrist with the flip-up opening toward her obscuring her view of the inside...and with Sarah we finally got to see what the inside looks like...
anyone notice anything 'strange' about the computers from 1987?
the Janitor said it's not Vaughn he's worried about now that the truth about Sarah is known...it's Josie...
and I do wish they would get Victor a better rug or at least one that's bigger and actually fits...
Marshall was so funny...he made the episode feel like a comedy or his bits anyway...
and Z's determination to separate the metal blocks was so funny too...he was a man on a mission...*hehehe*...
and good thing the episode took place all in one day...
totally enjoyed the hall gossip...Will and Jarrod really made that work...*laughs*
and how is it possible to play chess with yourself, unless you're that forgetful, and is there really any satisfaction in yelling 'checkmate' under those conditions? ;D
and they should have had a little 'spurkle' of BHH Energy when Vaughn and Corrine got released...I mean the camera was on their hands at the time...
and it was great when Vaughn and Corrine got released when they promised to be honest and resolve their problems...now where have we heard that before...oh yeah..."can't live without you"...*snickers*... and Josie and Lucas immediately went flying to the floor thinking they had actually pulled the metals apart...*hehe*...
and the camera angles were something else or someone had a loose dolly...
and can you believe it?...Vaughn and Corrine made it back to BHH without benefit of a compass......
and Vaughn yelling "no" when Corrine told him the truth about Sarah was interesting to say the least...
well Friction was definitely a chocked full episode...*nods & laughs*...

Not like a compass wouldve helped...
but yeah, Vaughn seems to be constantly pledging to be more honest and failing. I wonder if they purposefully tried to make this just like Echolocation, with pledging honesty in the rulns of P1. I wonder if its commentary about Sarah's dishonestly about her goals for Pearadyne. Or maybe they're just sowing the seeds of C/V. And when Corrine actually was honest, see the bad results...

I was sarcastically referring to Lost about the compass...someone seems to have forgotten about that...you'd think if they're going to link episodes they'd learn the history ...hmmm too many ties not enough thread...
man they had a lot of linking going on in Friction... and think I noted them all...hey any of you links missing? *hehe*
Corrine honest...bad results...well it's not called brutally honest for nothing ...
and omg...totally forgot to say earlier...Jarrod and his hat got reunited...awwww...*hehe*
and Sarah sure didn't have no quibbles or remorse about throwing bad-rug Victor into that 'safety' room and locking the door...*laughs*...maybe she really really really wanted to get away from that horrendous rug...*hehehe* hmmm...maybe that's the real reason Victor has no hair...he finally figured out why Sarah left...she had rugaphobia...*laughs*...
