I was sarcastically referring to Lost about the compass...someone seems to have forgotten about that... I didnt forget it. The compass in Lost started swinging around crazily due to the magnetic fields around Pearadyne. Thus, it was of no use.

Or it might have happened like this: Sarah: Now look into the pretty light.. Corrine: *gawps* Oooh... Sarah: *winks at lackey* Lackey: Applies small wooden mallet to Corrine's head. *lol* No more cartoons for HailStorm Whichever way Sarah swings, I think the Janitor swings the opposite way. well, we know which way Sarah swings... and Z's determination to separate the metal blocks was so funny too... He was just overcompensating each time he experienced failure. notice he went from using a simple hammer to a welding torch to a jackhammer. totally enjoyed the hall gossip...Will and Jarrod really made that work...*laughs* agreed. and how is it possible to play chess with yourself, I've palyed two player card games by myself. I'd try chess but i couldn't seperate my thoughts to that extent. and it was great when Vaughn and Corrine got released when they promised to be honest and resolve their problems... That's what I don't get. That promise had empty origins because Corrine didn't know the truth so there was no way for her to have been truthful technically. I wonder if they purposefully tried to make this just like Echolocation, with pledging honesty in the rulns of P1.... Or maybe they're just sowing the seeds of C/V. Josie to Corrine: "Vaughn promised to be honest to you in the ruins of Pearadyne? That scum, he promised me that!" hmmm...maybe that's the real reason Victor has no hair...he finally figured out why Sarah left...she had rugaphobia...*laughs*... what's with the termonology?

I think perhaps the point of it was to practice strategising, perhaps? Chess is mostly a strategy based game (which is why I'm so bad at it - I'm more of a snakes and ladders person myself ) so if you want to learn some strategies, see how they work on a board and don't have a partner who's willing to play with the purpose of learning, playing alone and testing out the strategies on your own may be a good idea. Or he could just be really bored... I'd say that Sarah's having similar technology and clothing to Josie2 and Josie2 being in with the Janitor suggests that they're working together or at least co-opperating - if they're working with Sarah, they could be working with Victor, but he doesn't seem to know much of them... it seems that Victor isn't really all as involved as he seems. She may not be with him but it's clear that Sarah is still wearing the pants in their realtionship.

it wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be. Marshall was hilarious in it.
I don't really understand what happened w/ Sarah, someone care to explain?

You know all this talk about Marshall being out of character but I've noticed someone mention Invisible... and that got me thinking, he seemed to always have a grudge against Vaughn.... maybe he felt threatened... the one person who likes him was sharing something with the lone person he's not impressed with.
And then again, I was like... was he envious of the fact that Corrine was stucked to Vaughn or was it something else? hmmm... now I'm not too much of a slasher but it could be interpreted.
Also, I seriously feel Corrine was probably working with Sarah... you notcied when Sarah saw her it wasn't like a... "who areyou? what are you doing down here? How'd you get in?" But rather "how long have you been there?" It gave me the feeling that they might have been working together and perhaps its why the Janitor said he's not worried about Vaughn, but somebody else.
Also, Josie and Vaughn aren't the only left twisting helix people but Josie2 as well, right?! And perhaps Sarah might have had a team working for her on her project... and this is why Corrine knew of the hologram stuff and was able to set everything up. I think those episodes tie in togther.
And I am happy Noah got to bring more to Marshall because that was some funny shtuff! And Jeff was too hilarious... Lucas seemed to dwindle in the background, but that's ok, because he was as cute as can be.

It's now called "shoots and ladders" ...I've noticed someone mention Invisible... and that got me thinking, he seemed to always have a grudge against Vaughn.... maybe he felt threatened... This takes us back to HailStorm's alpha male theory. Apparently Marshall may have some social status frustrations. This could make slightly interesting fanfic material (maybe a side plot in a story for 2 or 3 chapters). Has anyone ever pitched Marshall against Vaughn in a fanfic? Since everyone was distracted with M/L, did it get noticed?

[glow=blue,9,999] It could also be that since she was from the future (or at least could maybe see into the future), she knew Corrine was coming & was ready for her to show up.
Was it just me or was anyone else thinking "Dang! I knew Jeff was strong, but I didn't know he was that strong!" when he was swinging that sledgehammer? I thought that was so hot! I thought it was so cute the look on his face of disappointent when he found out he couldn't use the jackhammer. I wonder if he'd gotten to use it or the torch or the sledgehammer & any of those things had worked, would he have used those methods to separate Corrine & Vaughn? I could've seen them using the olive oil or any other lubricant though. Also I was wondering if Vaughn was able to slide his hand onto Corinne's hand, how come he didn't just slide it off the end?[/glow]

I wasn't talking about you. I was saying the writers missed an opportunity to connect.
when Corrine and Vaughn climbed out of the air shaft and Corrine said "Okay, I think the school's this way." this should have been added for her to say: "Not like a compass would do us any good out here." and would have been a Lost reference and direct connection. which would have been a great addition to the continuous alluding of the episode.
that game has always been called "Chutes And Ladders".
And the preview clip for next weekend was...Camouflage.

It's chutes... Yeah, I notice that the two characters that rarely interact are Vaughn with Corrine or Marshall. Vaughn just sticks to Josie, Z, Lucas, and his dad. [glow=blue,9,999] Also I was wondering if Vaughn was able to slide his hand onto Corinne's hand, how come he didn't just slide it off the end?[/glow] It probably wouldve just slid around to the other side of her hand.

;D Well, get this... Vaughn told Corrine she saw her talking to his mother on the tape. Now we didn't get to see the tape but... it clearly wasn't what we saw Corrine remember. If it was Vaughn would have probably mentioned he saw Sarah be mean to Victor and closed the elevator with him in it. He would have bought up the fact that he saw his mother betray his dad, but he didn't, he would have stated that after his dad and mom had an argument his mom signalled over to Corrine. He didn't really tell us what he saw but he didn't see what Corrine's flash back told. I'm sure he'd be like, "yea, so when you were speaking to my mom she used some weird device thingy and shone a light in your eyes... so he must have seen some other part we didn't.
Unless Victor altered the tape, but if he did I'm sure Victor would some how have spoken to Corrine about this. Also, when Corrine did travel to the wormhole... nobody asked her what happened and she didn't tell anybody what happen.... she's so sneaky... I LUV IT!!!
Oh and another thing... did anyone notice how when Marshall asked her if she was alright, when she had a flashback she was all "yea, it's just a headache." She's such a with holder of info... gotta luv the Corrine. ;D
Now, this may be off topic and all but... when their hands finally broke free and they agreed to talk things out... what happened between the time of their air vent travel... they seemed out of breath at the end...

I wasn't talking about you. I was saying the writers missed an opportunity to connect. *agrees* They were probably running short on time. Essential things often get skipped because of time constraints. that game has always been called "Chutes And Ladders". No it hasn't. Back in the days before most of us, it was called "snakes and ladders." We (the people who worked there) talked about this back when i worked at a game store. *eyes my spelling* oops, wrong sound *heh heh* shoots = plants, chutes = downward slants. Vaughn told Corrine she saw her talking to his mother on the tape. Now we didn't get to see the tape but... it clearly wasn't what we saw Corrine remember. ... ... so he must have seen some other part we didn't.... Also, when Corrine did travel to the wormhole... nobody asked her what happened and she didn't tell anybody what happen.... she's so sneaky... I LUV IT!!! hum.... makes the Corrine is working for Victor storyline a bit too allowable. when their hands finally broke free and they agreed to talk things out... what happened between the time of their air vent travel... they seemed out of breath at the end...

Oh wow, so I was on msn waiting for my friend to reply and everything, to past time I said to myself, I'm gonna read over the board... and I came across HS's post... I stopped there as reading everything seemed nuts... well, paint my face red and call me an apple; I totally reiterated everything she said where Corrine and Sarah are concerned... I guess the two best minds on the board think alike... sorry HS... but I guess that's what you get when you're Corrine conspirators...
Cheers,

Wah! Another episode with lots of subtext and no Pearadyne forum to discuss it. I like the episode, especially of course the Z moments. I was wondering when he paused for a second during the first attempt to separate the metal blcok when Lucas asked whether they were supposed to coat Vaughn and Corrine in olive oil, whether some rather lurid images came to his mind as they did to me. <g> One thing though, shouldn't the molecular bonding causing friction only be skin to skin? So why was Vaughn able to move his hand where there were clothes? I also wondered about the possibilities of showering and sleeping together. I guess one way to interpret Marshalls strong reaction, is that perhaps he's kind of taken Corrine's feeling for granted since she pursued him, so he wasn't prepared to see her seemingly clinging to someone else. I'm definitely finding Corrine/Vaughn possiblities way more interesting than Corrine/Marshall

Wah! Another episode with lots of subtext and no Pearadyne forum to discuss it. This episode was BRIMMING with subtext. Possibly even more than Camoflauge (sp?) You people and your subtext; you're a bad influence on me. I thought the same thing. Good point! My husband brought up the point that heat would actually make the molecules stick more, wouldn't it? That is also an excellent point. Sometimes it takes seeing a girl with another guy to make a guy realize (or admit) his feelings for her. I know you guys will all protest, but it does happen (worked for me with my husband ). That is the only way I can explain Marshall's out-of-characterness; he's not sure he wants to be with Corinne, but he definately doesn't want anyone else to be with her. In all seriousness, C/V could work quite well. Corinne can help Vaughn find his intellectual side, and Vaughn can kill the bug that's up Corinne's bum. ;D

Good point! My husband brought up the point that heat would actually make the molecules stick more, wouldn't it? I was wondering that. When Prof Z was heating the magnets, I recalled that more surface area means more friction (This is the reason that one's fingerprint indents make it easy to grasp things. The grooves in the fingertip virtually double the surface area of the fingertip's skin, allowing more friction. The gooves also make the finger rough, not smooth.). Prof Z commented about some other molecular property which I didn't quite understand but made sense as a quick thought. What was it he said? I won't deny it but I would apply a lot of emotional detatchment to counter it (for those who can do that). 88keys, you did played with his emotions? I must hear this story, perhaps in another thread...maybe a PM? *lol* One thing though, shouldn't the molecular bonding causing friction only be skin to skin? So why was Vaughn able to move his hand where there were clothes? What, that's the solution! Someone, other than Marshall who would have protested this idea in the episode, should have told Vaughn to slide his hand to Corrine's sleeve. Then, simply have Corrine take off her shirt (I am not perverted *lol*). Vaughn is no longer stuck to Corrine but to her shirt. Well, I guess it was that the adherence of Vaughn's skin to Corrine's skin forced the molecules to cling to each other through the molecules of Corrine's shirt. If this is true, then that would have been questionable if they tried my idea, saw it didn't work for the above reason, and then Principal Durst walked in
