[glow=blue,9,999]After hearing that the sub-floor of Professor Z's office was made of Palladium, I got to wondering if maybe the Chi Gong balls aren't made from Palladium too cause Vaughn used Palladium Wire for the Cold Fusion Reactor.[/glow]

wait if Pd is the least dence metal on earth maybe that explains why it lost its gravitational feald. assuming the balls were Pd.

wait if Pd is the least dence metal on earth maybe that explains why it lost its gravitational feald. assuming the balls were Pd. Not likey. An object has a gravitational field because it has a mass. The Chi ball would have to have no mass to float. Palladium may not be dense, but it'd have to be 100% non-dense to have lost its gravitational field. However, if it were undense enough, it would have a weak enough gravitational field to be able to "float" based on the buoyancy of the air. Might also explain its conservation of momentum.

Study physics. Then the floating ball will make sense.

most qigong balls are made of steel - chrome or stainless, highly polished and silver-colored steel that's slightly heavier than you'd think they'd be. and they have a gyroscope inside which makes them 'sing', when not being used as an unlimited power source .
the actual qigong balls are made of steel, either chrome or stainless, which doesn't dent easily if at all, and the balls can be engraved. they're not palladium.
they're quite fun to handle. ;D

Auen likes handling balls? *cough* Oh do Behave! Well.... I looked up Palladium and learnt very little else on it other than it's the least dense metal! My Chi Balls are made of Steel (I think..... Ahhhh! you got me curious now!) Curiousity killed the clogger-sheep

Auen likes handling balls? *cough* *laughs* *smacks Scott with qigong ball* *handle that ;D ;D* *snickers* *makes note...get Scott his own set of qigongs* *feel the power* *hehehe*Well.... I looked up Palladium and learnt very little else on it other than it's the least dense metal! My Chi Balls are made of Steel (I think..... Ahhhh! you got me curious now!) Curiosity is good. Keep being curious. *nods* and someday you'll find those answers...

Auen likes handling balls? *cough* Mac beat me to it *snaps* I looked up Palladium and learnt very little else on it other than it's the least dense metal! As Au pointed out earlier, it is an element. I had never heard of it so apparently it isn't very useful or it isn't very common (or else we would have learned the slightest bit about it in school). Try going to a site about the chemical elements and researching its uses and other facts (like atomic number, symbol, history). I would but I've got French homework to do

interesting fact: Palladium mixed/added with Gold is what gives white gold its 'color'. Ergo, Palladium is white?

Ergo, Palladium is white? kinda silveryish white, like pure sodium.

Ergo, Palladium is white? Palladium is a member of the Platinum 'family', so it's the same color as Platinum, silverish.
they call white gold 'white' to denote the difference between it and 'yellow' gold. that's what they're called white gold and yellow gold. white gold looks like Platinum and Silver (sterling silver), yet unlike Platinum and Silver white gold doesn't tarnish. Platinum isn't supposed to tarnish but I've seen tarnished Platinum. that's why if I wanted 'silver' colored jewelry I'd go with white gold, it's very pretty. and I can't wear Silver, something in my body eats away at Silver and makes anything Silver I wear become pitted and rough, Gold doesn't do this (Platinum either), so I only wear Gold, white gold is nicer than Platinum. yeah, Au only wears Gold ;D. next time you're in a store with fine jewelry, go look at white gold, Platinum, and Silver to see the slight difference.

Your skin errodes Silver? HailStorm, that should get added into a "At Home..." thing. Victor: "Grant! I got you a gift, it's silver. Put it on" Grant: "But Mr Pearson, my skin errodes silver." *reluctant to touch the Silver* Victor: "fluffy." Grant: "fluffy?" Victor: "Did you just call me fluffy, again?!" *heh heh heh*
