I have been wearing glasses since I was three years old. The reason why is because I have a lazy eye.

I've had glasses since i was 9 yrs old, and I remember getting them the day after christmas. Some gift, huh? I also wore a retainer (along with glasses) all through 8th grade. I didn't get contacts until 9th grade and they are 1,000 times better than glasses.

I just recently got glasses due to me failing my vision test in the process of getting my driver's permit. :PAnd I am supposed to get spacers and braces sometime before this year is over. Good news, though, is that I have an appointment to get contacts in the next two weeks so it's all good.

But they can be if you don't change them out every...two weeks I think? And according to my friend they can be irritable at times if your eyes dry out or something of the sorts.

Adam, contacts aren't bad for your eyes. You just need to keep them clean and change them as often as recommended (some are every week, some two weeks, some two months, etc.) They do get a little dry sometimes, especially if you fall asleep with them in, but you can put some drops in and they are good as new. My eyes actually get more dry if I wear my glasses too long, for some reason.

The reason I said that contacts were better than glasses was because, IMO they are more comfortable and they don't get random dirty spots on they throughout the day to abstain you vision. If you're worried about contacts getting uncomfortable, try getting the breathable ones. A friend of my has really sensitive eyes and she got the new acuvue oasys and she tells me that they don't bother her a bit.

I've had glasses since 3, when I was eating french fries on my front porch, spilled them, picked up a stick, and my parents had to stop me before I could eat it! True story!

Why is the french fry story here?
Contacts are sooo much better than glasses. Although when I first had contacts, it took me forever to put them in.

Why is the french fry story here? It's the reason he needed glasses. Middleton saw a stick and thought it was a fry, and almost ate it.
