Anyone reading any thing interesting?
I really like the books from Laurie Halse Anderson, I've read Speak and Catalyst from her and bought Fever 1793 today, I also bought A Deadly Game of Magic today I started at about...hm....6pm and finished it at about 10pm, I liked it so much, I couldn't put it down.
Anyone else like reading or reading an interesting book right now?

After the Olympics, I was on a figure skating craze, and I picked up a book from the library called "On Edge" by Jon Jackson (it has a sub title too, but it's too long to remember). He was a former skater and International level judge, and it was about a lot of the corruption in the judging ranks. Very interesting. I'm currently not reading anything right now, and I need to be.

I LOVE figure skating!! I was reading a book called The Second Mark about the 2002 pairs competeion that had the judging scandal, but i didn't like the way the author wrote it, she favorited one pair out of the others.
My mom and g-ma read Mary Higgins Clark books ALL THE TIME, I can't even tell you how many book form her they have read!! I must get liking to read from her.

I'm not reading anything right at the moment but I just finished a Val McDermid book called The Torment of Others. Very good book but pretty distressing to read (as are all her books - she's got a way with really twister brutal serial killers has Val McDermid).

I'm reading a FANTASTIC book called "A Prayer for Owen Meany", about a guy who believed he was God's instrument. Little Owen Meany was a remarkable person; so remarkable, in fact, that I think I'll start a thread devoted to that book alone. I strongly recommend it to everyone. It does have quite a strong religious theme, but even if someone's not religious, I still think they could mostly enjoy this book.

I am reading a trilogy by Ted Dekker. I'm on the third book called "White". It is a very interesting thiller series. I recommend Ted Dekker if you are looking for a great thiller with plot twists and whatnot.

Long time since we heard from you, Pop I'm currently reading two books simultaneously: Why do Buses come in Threes? (By Rob Eastaway and Jeremy Wyndham) and Maddigan's Fantasia (by Margaret Mahy) First one's a good Maths read, second one's an interesting fiction book. Mac: What on Earth do you mean?

I may in the future read "The Rules Of Attraction", since its supposed to be better than the movie, and the author is the same author as American Psycho. I'll think about it.

Aside from "A Prayer for Owen Meany", I'm also reading "The Secret History" by Donna Tartt and "Raise High the Roof Beam, Carpenters and Seymour: An Introduction" by J. D. Salinger. I'd like to re-read "A Wrinkle in Time" (by Madeleine L'Engle) sometime, and I'd like to read "A Separate Peace" by John Knowles, but I don't know if it's available in the UK. I haven't been able to find it so far. It sounds interesting, though; it's centred around a group of teenage boys at boarding school in the 1940s. If anyone here has read it, what did you think of it?
