As you can tell, I'm really bored and I have insomnia...lol
Does anyone else notice the angst Vaughn's conflicted life makes in the show? I love it, personally. Anyone, anyone? (OMG Ferries Bueller flashbacks again..)

Yup! You've got to love the angsty bits. Vaughn is the king of angst in that show, bless him, but they all have their moments.

Oh, Vaughn is totally the king of angst. The whole his father pressuring him and should he tell him about the science club and now Josie and him, what's happening, his mother, Pearadyne, working against his father, and the whole inside "my life is not perfect, it just looks that way," view...I love it all! LOVE IT ALL!

Ah, yes! It's not just the fact that he has angst, he also has irony. It seems, to the outside world, that his life is nearly perfect, he has everything: money, social power, strength, good looks. But in truth, he's missing out on so much. Until now, he hasn't had any real friends - just hangers on who want to bask in his popularity. His mother died when he was tiny, his father is cold and seems to care little for his son. He's had to struggle with dyslexia all his life. Wow - come to think of it, the writers are really laying it on thick, aren't they? Poor Vaughn

Poor Vaughn is right! It's great angst & irony too, though. I love it. And I love Vaughn, haha. I hope they go more into depth with his character soon, they've done it before but not well.

I hoping they delve more into his character. At the moment I find it hard to find him very interesting and I tend to bear grudges a long time and I don't think that him joining the science club immendiately makes ammends for several years of bullying Lucas (even if it was only verbal). I need to find a facet of Vaughn's character I can empathise with (sympathy is not enough).

Where exaclty does it say he has been bullying Lucas, he might have called him "half pint" once, but you'd think they wouldn't have immediatley become friends if that was the way it was before he joined the science club

You'll notice that in Wormhole he is very, very mean to Lucas And is it not a great tradition of those in 'power' in a highschool to try to make the lives of those on the bottom of the social ladder as hellish as possible?

Nope, that still isn't a reason what does he do exactly and say that makes you think he was being so mean and any way that was only one episode. The only bullies I could see where the ones in Lifetime. I am not convinced that Vaughn was being mean except for callin him "half pint"

And I quote, from memory: "Let's see, what is it this year? First, it was the ghosts in the basement. Then it was the hurricane in the gym. And let's not forget number one on the I'm-weird-and-think-I-see-things list: A wooly mammoth in the pool. Get a life, Luc-Head." Now that isn't ver nice, is it? Especially not when you take into consideration his tone and stance and the look on Lucas's face. Verbal bullying.

You do know that it was only once and it was before they became fiendsand got to know each other better. Ok I do agree that he was being mean at first, but quite frankly that was a while ago and and it doesn't matter anymore.

Oh, okay. But remeber what started this... my comment that I personally still bear that grudge. I reserve the right to bear any silly grudges I like, no matter how reasonable arguments against keeping the grudge are. i'm just hard to please. I forgive nobody unil I'm good and ready (ie. they have served some sort of pennance, I miss them or something bigger has happened, making me see just how silly I'm being.). It is silly, really, my friends have done much worse to me in the past, but they were all friends with me first, and had made up for it before hey even upset me. But I'm not saying that you shouldn't like Vaughn. And i'm not saying that lucas shouldn't like Vaughn either. i was just sor of saying how i would behave in that siuation (stupidly, as we have learned to expect)
