The aim of these rules is not to oppress you or anything, don't worry , they're about making this place a bit neater, easier to understand and kinder for the general readers. Please do follow them.
First of all, we remind you of the proboards TOS, that all of us have to follow:
IMPORTANT RULE 1: Now this is an obvious one. As this is quite a young community, we can't have fics rated any higher than pg-13. So that means no graphic violence, smut or anything else likely to make your fic R-rated or above. I didn't really need to say that to any of the people here, but it must be said just in case.
IMPORTANT RULE 2: Another obvious rule: No plagarism. If it isn't your work, don't post it unless you have direct permission from the author and have made the point that it is their work, not yours. Also, don't take the fanfics you find here to put on your site unless the author of the fic says you can.
Rule 3: Do not 'flame' in response to fics. Constructive criticism is welcome with most authors, however, it must be just that: constructive giving some advice on how the author may improve in future. You may not reply with personal insults or just 'your story sucks'. You may not criticise a story based soley on the pairing. If the fic has J/L and you do not like J/L, don't read the fic - if you do read it and then complain about it having J/L, that makes you a moron. the same goes for slash fics: if you don't like it, don't read. If you don't like it and do read it, don't be so stupid as to complain about the fact that it has slash in when you have been warned that it has slash.
Rule 4: Response topics. I've discussed this with MirrorCard and we reckon that it's okay to make your own response topics. You can make one for your fic or, if the author hasn't made one, you can make one after reading the fic. You can also PM the author with feedback. Don't leave feedback in the fanfic thread, please, as it can interfere with the flow of the fic. In future, feedback in fanfic threads will be deleted. Note: please check that somebody else hasn't already started a response thread before you start one.
Rule 5: To make life easier for readers and to introduce some sort of order we have come up with a template to copy and paste into the begining of your fic.

Warnings/rating:
Pairings (if any)(optional):

Author notes:
explained:
Title: The title of your fic.
Summary: What your fic is about. (eg.: An 'accident' in the halls leads to Josie tumbling down the laundry chute after her assignment. Upon landing she finds herself in a surreal world and meets some oddly familiar faces - this would be the summary for Indigo's Down the Laundry Chute fic)
Warnings/rating: G (for everybody), PG (slight caution recommended), PG13 (a bit of caution reccomended (ie. mild bad language, a little darker, stuff like that). You must include a warning if your fic is rated pg13 and you must include a warning if your story contains slash (same-sex pairing/s)
Pairings (if any)(optional): Josie/Vaughn, Madison/Kubiak, whatever pairings are in the fic. If you'd prefer to keep it a surprise, you don't have to say.
Disclaimer(optional): For legal reasons. Probably not completely necessary as Jim doesn't seem to mind us fanficcing. But if you're paranoid then you can put a diclaimer. Disclaimers are important if you’ve written a crossover fic. If you use characters that are not original (ie. your own creation) and not from Black Hole High, then it is important to put a disclaimer.
Author notes(optional): Any thoughts you want to share on your fic
Even if you don't choose to put a discalimer, a/n or pairings, please be sure to put a short summary. We will be making another directory that has the fic title, link and a summary of the fic - so people will be able to see if there's any fics they really really like the sound of. For the fanfics posted before these rules were posted, I will write summaries. If you'd prefer to write your own, please PM me with the summary and I will put it in the directory
Rule 6: If you read a fic on the boards that you feel has been labelled in a misleading way (eg. it is rated G when pg13 would be a more appropriate rating) does not have the appropriate warnings or is too adult and therefore breaks the TOS, please contact a moderator with a link to the fic and an explanation of what you think is wrong. We will then take the appropriate action. Please note that we will NOT delete slash fics simply because you don't like the idea of sam-sex relationships - only if the author has failed to include a slash warning or has made the fic innappropriately adult (R-rated or above) will we take such complaints seriously.
I think that's it for now, but the rules may change if the need arises. Keep creating, people!
