Chapter 1-The Ring.
It's been a long long time since Josie Trent has stepped foot in Blake Holsey High. She hasn't seen the cracked walls, or the checkered floors for years. It's then when she sits at home, she thinks about this.
"Josie, Josie, you get yourself too worked up over this, once you start thinking about that darn school, you know what happens." she thought to herself.
And of course, everytime she starts thinking about it, she takes a walk to the school, just to ease the pain and memories of her precious and less precious moments in the school.
Josie soon stopped dozing off into the unreal, and popped back into reality when the phone rang in the other room.
"Hello?"
"Ehem, hell-o?...Josie, it's Vaughn...Vaughn Pearson.."
"Oh, ah...Vaughn, last time we spoke was at graduation....what makes you call me now?" Josie asked solemnly.
"I know you don't want to hear this, but my fathers got cancer, and he needs me to help keep track of all the records of his Perydyne.....i need your help though." Vaughn stuttered over his words, as if he were asking for her life....more than he knew...he was.
"Uhm....sure, when do you need me?" Josie asked.
"Tomorrow?...If that's okay with you, of course."
"Oh, yeah, that's fine...I'll call you when I'm on my way." Josie said.
"Okay, then....I'll be seeing you."
"Okay, bye."Josie quickly hung up and hurried upstairs to pick out was she was to wear the next day. Eventhough she knew everything has changed between her and Vaughn, she still had the slightest hope that some kind of miracle would happen. Something she's been envying for so long. And that's love.
The speakers loud in her ears, Josie pulled away from the drive way in her black Sion tC. She had directions in her lap to the Pearson residence. It's been too long, she barely knew what it even looked like.
