Anyways. That's my idea. He's not anybody we know. He's not anybody -HE- even knows. He's...Just...The Janitor. Things aren't always what they seem, but sometimes things are exactly what they seem. I think this a cool theory about him being nothing more than jus the Janitor, no identity. It reminds me of WWII, where Jews/other people's identity was taken away. You are no longer a person, you are a number. You are no longer a person, you have no name, you are simply The Janitor. However, I agree that in this case, whoever he works for is not like Hitler in that aspect. I think he's got a name, a life, a home... somewhere in sometime. But right now, he's got more important things to worry about (like you know, the fate of the universe?) . But I don't know how devoted he is, maybe enough to give up the core of his person, what makes him who he is... his identity. Yeah, that was rambling. I'm off my soapbox now.

Alright..my question is...during the Pearadyne explosion, its shown that he's working in the lab, right? No actually no. In the picture that shows Z and the other workers (if this is your reference) he's there but the year is not told. I don't think Z would have been there until 1977. He only said that he worked there for a summer (or a couple of) for his scolarship. Therefore, the picture only indicates that the janitor was there at the time. If I'm not mistaken and this is what you were actually refering to, we really never have another evidence that could prove the janitor was there for certain period of time.

Didn't Jim recently mention somewhere that when he said that the biggest clues to "who the Janitor was" were in Culture, he meant what the Janitor's powers and motives were, not that he was a future version of someone already on the show?

Well, that explains a lot. I can't belive they have ANOTHER marathon right before it ends (sweet, though). I don't know much about the secrets of BHH except the normal (wormhole, Victor, the last episode, the basics, you know...)
