Hey You Guys and Gals,
There has been a bit of discussion about the song I performed in the season 1 episode "Who". For those of you who were in on that discussion and for those who weren't but may be curious, here is the lyric chart for the segment of the song that aired. The tune is an original composition of mine called "Tide":
It's good to see, you here by me, so stoically,
Even though I'm stumbling in the dark.
I call out a hark. Is this all a lark? Will I leave my mark?
'Cause sometimes life can seem so stark
ch: Tide, Why am I all alone?
I used to be so strong.
But that seems so long,
So long ago.
Tide, when did things go wrong?
I thought I was so strong.
But that seems so long,
So long ago.
Br: I don't want to be the one to tie you down,
So I got to be the one to set you free.
I'm not ready to try, 'cause I'm afraid to fly.
That's the segment that was on the air. There've been lyric revisions since then, but they've been minor. The song wasn't written to be performed on BHH so don't be disappointed if you don't make any connections between them and the show. "TIDE" arrived in it's first incarnation about four years ago and has undergone a few rewrites, and almost made it's premier appearance on the soundtrack for a film I shot two years ago called "Touch&Go", but I was called away from the studio to shoot on another show before the song was complete and the tune never made the deadline.
Cheers
Jeff D.
