It occurred to me after Fate, that since Z was supposedly given an unexpected scholarship from Pearadyne Industries, perhaps Josie sometimes makes another trip through the wormhole to when he was in high school (I assume he went to a local public school rather than BHH). Josie somehow convinces Victor of the necessity of creating a scholarship for him.
Might make an interesting fanfic with possible legal Josie/Zness, since I'm thinking Highschool Z was probably pretty darn cute.

While I too would believe that Prof Z didn't go to BHH as a student, how would he have been selected? Under your theory, Josie plays some part in that but what would convince Victor to select Prof Z? Since Prof Z wasn't going to go to college or anything, he would not have applied for scholarships. Your idea makes more sense as I am thinking about it. Just that one thing of how she'd convince Victor to pick Prof Z. *Imagines Jim glancing at idea and thinking about it*

Oooh I'm hoping Jim does see this, that would be so cool! Hmmm, about what convinces Victor. How about, Josie when Josie goes back in time and somehow encounters Highschool Z, she finds out that he's been doing research on black holes with the limited resources he has available. She takes his research to Victor to convince him that giving Z would be a good investment. Victor Pearson does, but doesn't put in enough strings that Z *must* work a certain number of years at the company in order to get some return on it like some government grants, ie, funding medical school for students in return for several years of service with an underserved population. Therefore Z was able to walk away from Pearadyne unscathed.

But I don't think that Prof Z wouldn't be a teacher at Blake Holesy High if he didn't get the scholarship. So,if he was never a teacher then Josie never would have met him. And if Josie never would have met him then wy would she want to convince Victor to give him a scholarship?

For example the wormhole that created/charged the QI Gong ball was created due to en explosion in the future of an mechanisim where the ball was part of the central core. I'm assuming she hasn't gone back in time to take of it yet in the episodes so far but she will need to do so in the future, otherwise the timeline will be jeopardized.

Z must've seen the qui gong ball thingy before. In Pearadyne, that's what's with the shifty look.
So...Josie Created Pearadyne.... freaky.
