Ok, Z's parents are alive. I don't know much about Z's parents or anything else, the only thing I know is my story that I typed and that's... I can't tell, secret .

[glow=blue,9,999]Yeah it could be that his parents got divorced & his dad wasn't there for him like he should've been.[/glow]

[glow=blue,9,999] Maybe his life was kind of like the story line for Jimmy Wayne's Video I Love You This Much.
This song is very sad for me cause even though my parents are still together, they're not there for me at all.[/glow]

Maybe his parents kicked him out at fifteen.... or shipped him off to a boarding school at 12 and were never there. (But like I said... the 'distance' has been used 3 times now)
How long are sheep supposed to live *sighs*

I would also assume that Professor Zachary's father is still alive because of how he says the 'I can't imagine' thing about doing something for your father that no one else can. I said a while ago on a different thread that I thought this was a hint at his relationship with his own father because EVERY child gives their parents something no one else can and even if his father had died, he would still have done this. Therefore, there must be a good reason why he has not done this. But it sounds more like he's blaming himself. Poor mite.
And in Fate, because of the throw away line about his mother, this would suggest he still lives with her in that dimension and is tied to her apron strings. Although in the normal reality he isn't still living with his mother, I think his childhood would still be the same and so I don't beleive he was sent away to boarding school or something.
And the absent father gives him the connection with Josie that we sometimes see.

I've wondered the same about Marshall as well. Even being a day student at private school would be cheaper and now, for Marshall, I know at least around here in the DC area there are several magnet schools that emphasize math and science, but I'm veering off topic now.

Professor Z seems not to have known his dad, and we know Joise doesn't know much if anything about her dad. what if they have the same dad? and what if Avenir is their dad?
