Please take care to read all of this, especially if you're new. Older members may find their intelligence slightly insulted because most of these rules are basic common sense. If you read this and abide by the rules you will be fine. If you don't read it or fail to abide by the rules, you will not. Yes, it's long, so go get a cup of tea before starting because it is important that you read it all.
Spam: and other Off-Topic talking (especially in the casts' boards) and spam (or 'fluff') Please, take a few extra seconds of thought before posting. Do you really need to respond to a question or a statement? If no, then don't. If yes, is it relevant to the thread's topic? If it is, then post, if it isn't then PM it. Also, make sure your message has a decent level of coherence. If we can't understand what you're saying then we are more likely to consider it spamming and delete it. The mods reserve the right to modify or delete any post and lock, move or remove any thread. We don't like to do this so please think carefully about your posts!
Double Posting: This goes hand in hand with spam. If you have posted something and forgotten to say something, don't post again - use the modify button within you post on the top right hand side to add what you wanted to say into your post. For now, people who do this have their posts merged and a warning. If they continue to ignore this rule, we will start deleting posts until they get the message. Double posting is VERY annoying and very annoyed mods like banning people. Also, please be careful not to start a thread that already exists, especially not ones that will obviously have been done several times before - anything about favourite anybody or almost anything in BHH has been done before - if you have the burning urge to give and receive opinions, go and dig them out. (But please don't excavate threads at random to say 'lol')
Net-Speak: Please, for the love of all things good and right in this world, speak English! It doesn't take very much effort to use proper capitalisation, decent spelling and basic punctuation. To be brutally honest, net speak does not give the impression of intelligence any higher than that bestowed upon two short planks. People who do not use net speak are more likely to be respected, have their opinions taken seriously and are less likely to spam or be accused of spamming. Nobody's perfect so we don't expect you to pass every post through a spelling and grammar checker but at least make a valliant effor not 2 tlk lyk dis.
Questions and Information: Please read the FAQ thorougly and check it again if there is news of an update. Asking questions that have been asked many times before will get you pointed in that direction. Please thoroughly check the Advertising board before you ask about any websites. If you would like to ask somebody a question that isn't relevant to a topic, PM them. If you're asking a question in a topic where a cast or crew member, whoever they are, please remain polite and courteous at all times. Do not nag, cajole or go on at them - if they haven't been around for a while, let the topic drop and do not keep asking questions. As we can never be 100% sure that anybody is who they say they are, information given out is not 100% official and we can accept no responsibility if information you are given is incorrect.
SPOILERS: this is very important, especially if you live in the UK or in any place that will see the show before a large amount of people do.
Post all series 4 spoilers in the Spoiler board and Creator's Corner, no exceptions. Any spoiler left where a person who has chosen not to be spoiled can see it will be taken very seriously.
Equally, all people who wish to remain unspoiled for series 4, please proceed around the board carefully. Don't take a peek at the spoiler board and then complain about being spoiled. And if you see a thread which you think may contain spoilers, please PM a mod and we will check it out as soon as possible. If you see a spoiler in a post that isn't in the spoiler board, alert a mod and again we will deal with it as quickly as possible. Please don't flame the person who left the spoiler - the mods will deal with them. I would advise against using the 'last X posts' functions - they aren't immune to spoilers.
