I just saw Hemispheres for the first time. And they basically gave him a complete makeover. He didnt seem like the usually geek we're used to on BHH. So I wonder: if he really a geek, or do they just ultra geekify him for the show. Or maybe they just gave him a full makeover for that one ep, and he's normally a geek. In fact, that whole episode interests me. How many of the actors were acting more like their usual selves, or in a way completely different.

Uh, I'm not really following you but the Marshall that was in Hemispheres--and I assume you mean the one that wore the eyeliner and such--was an alternate version. An opposito one at that. Of course, if I've missed the mark of your question just tell me. I do that sometimes...
And also, define 'geek.'

geek is a very subjective word, but I define it as Marshall.
anyway, I was talking about the actual Noah Reid. he seems so comfortable in the marshall role that you'd think that's how he normally is. but then he does a complete 180 for that episode, and becomes cool (although a bit creepy) all of a sudden. so I wonder if the real person behind the characters is geeky too. after all, Emma T-I (the girl who plays Josie) is supposedly sweet and calm in real life, not so rebellious.

I think that Noah is just a really good actor who can change to fit any role. For all I know he could be a tad on the geeky side (don't get me wrong I love him), but I am too so I don't mind sayin that. And it shoudn't be an insult because we all have our geeky moments...depending on how you define "geeky". But his complete 180 was kind of a surprise, but I taped that episode and watch it all the time! I love that mysterious, rebellious side of Noah! Well gotta go, bye! IM me sometime if you wanna talk! It's writinthestars@aol.com or hidnreflections@aol.com! ~*Jen*~

that's exactly what i mean. it was like "darn, where'd that side come from ". but, i think if he didnt have the inner geek, he'd never take the role of Marshall. well, I suppose I can relate. i'll surprise my friends with moodswings like that.

Okay... my bad... ignore my post then. Well, I'd say it's just because he's a really good actor, you know. They cna slip into any role at the drop of the hat. And I know why the 'Ballykissangel! (hehe you're in trouble now...)' thing was added, but what does it mean? What is the reference? **That's Indigo's fault. She once told me that her friend used to think Ballykissangel (which was actually a TV show about a small Irish village) was a bad word. So once when she was mad at her dad, she drew a picture of him and put "Ballykissangel" in a speech bubble next to him and wandered off thinking 'Oooh... he's in trouble now...' Kids, eh? And I found that so funny that I put it on the censored word list as a tribute to my little sister's friend's sillyness. Plus it's a stupid enough thing to discourage further use of the word. - Hail**

What does a trucker hat (what is a trucker hat? A hat of truckers?) have to do with anything? Besides, I have 'cool' friends (I hate using that word to describe people and social siutations), but I'm a total geek. I'll argue with someone about the plot holes in 'The Teminator' at the crop of a hat (twice in the same thread I've said 'drop of a hat'... OMG11!!! IVE CRAKCE D T3H C0DE!!!!111!! Ignore that). Being 'cool' is largely irrelevant. So, is his choice of head wear. Unless he wears human skin... that would probably be relevant. Just because someone is 'cool' doesn't mean they can't be geeky. I think I just killed the mood of this thread.

i wear a trucker hat. its blue and it says "reckless rider" on it. but i dont know about the "cool friends" part. everybody who has friends will consider their friends "cool". and i agree with MirrorCard about the trucker hat thing. its probably a colloquial thing.

haha, the "he wears a trucker hat...he's so cool!" thing's got most of the gals hung over it. it probably makes them want a trucker hat for themselves too...just to be like Noah and them cool kidds...
