Did anyone get any clues as to The Janitor's real identity in Culture?
Jim said the biggest clues so far have come in Culture from Season 1...
So anyone find anything?

but the only clues that we have from culture are:
1) he can control light slips 2) he knows the future 3) he's been to another place and/or time 4) he reports to someone higher (possible)
really, more evidence for #4 is in Genome when he gives the DNA sheets to someone else through a light slip

I've got a theory. I'm not going to put it to music though.
The Janitor is reporting to a group from an alternate world--possibly Earth 617--called the Superiors. They know too much and are manipulating everything into their own little game. Sarah is one of them as well, having not died in the explosion. I could go into more detail, but, I haven't figured everything out yet.

Here's what we saw of the Janitor in Culture...
~ He said 'she's coming'...
~ Josie2 noticed him outside the room where she, Lucas, and Marshall were playing foosball and wandered off to follow him...that was strange...
~ He told Josie2 there was 'a place she could go and they were waiting for her'...to which she agreed...
~ He sent Josie2 through his basement light slip which had a throw rug covering it...and the rug did not move nor get pulled in like with the wormhole...a little odd...must be a tesseract or something such...
~ He said 'she's gone'...
So now my question to everyone is...
Who was the Janitor actually talking about?
Josie2 or Kelly?
When he said 'she's coming' and 'she's gone'...

obviously Josie2, since Kelly didnt leave until Wormhole2.
Gouki: what evidence do you have for this seemingly random 'Superiors' theory?

Not so much evidence as theories based on wild speculation (or them being major players in fanfiction). I like my theory though, and I'll be sticking by it.

Not necessarily, now remember, when the Janitor said 'she's coming' we did not know at the time Kelly would arrive soon at BHH as she had not been shown previously, and when he said 'she's gone' Kelly had already driven off in her car wherever she went to at the time. Also, we did not know at that moment if Kelly would reappear or not.

Maybe the Janitor is really Lucas...

Here's a new thought about the Janitor's true identity...
Maybe the Janitor is really Lucas... old theory, still no proof for it, the ending of Tesseract seems to disprove it.

still no proof for it, the ending of Tesseract seems to disprove it. Not necessarily...that's the only time the Janitor used someone's full name and said 'please' as in 'please advise'...not exactly known for asking for help...neither is Lucas...
And Lucas would do anything for Josie...who better to be her 'caretaker' than Lucas...he would protect her at all costs...

I dunno, sounds weak.
The Janitor asked for advice because for the first time, someone actually came close to the heart of the mystery, instead of just seeing the side effects of BHH energy. The Janitor is probably just that. He cleans up after strange happenings so that people dont find out too much.
I dont think the Janitor is her caretaker. His actions are probably more selfish than it appears.

well...Marshall did say about Lucas...'that when Josie needed help she went to Lucas not anyone else'...Lucas is Josie's 'go to guy'...so maybe whatever it is decided to use that to it's benefit and have Lucas protect Josie and everything...seems to have ended that way...
