my tv was fuzzy at the time i taped it so it was kind of hard to watch. the channel looks fine now. i don't understand why. I hope they rerun it before the next new episode so i can retape it.
I kind of felt sorry for Brooke. I wonder how many times they had to practice the sliming (+ the 2 times they actually did it)
Wow, this episode kind of was bad. Almost makes Nutrition worth watching. So not the halloween episode of BHH (except for the ending with Christopher). an hour long timeframe
could have brought it up to the level of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (specifically the one with the Praying Mantis teacher, for those who watch that show). The episode really lagged on the scare factor though. We needed the feeling that someone could have been sent to the hospital or something like that.
remember 88key's comment about that her husband saying the show was becoming sexier? yeah, this episode reminded me of that.
You know, an interesting thing was that Diana attracted all the males except prof Z! Had that been put into the script (and assuming the FCC wouldn't come down on the show and/or NBC and DCKids), it would have made an interesting follow up on the Hemispheres scene where the girl giggles at Professor Z and he smiles (for Pearadyne Industries and fangirls, most likely). *rereads paragraph* this could also make an case over at Pearadyne Industries. hope no one picks up on it....
Also, we didn't pick up Durst's reaction on Diana. Perhaps Diana tied her up so prof Z couldn't ask Durst any questions? (would have made a great scene in the episode
)
alright, why did the venus flytrap become a girl and take Marshall's side (besides that it made the character easier to name)? Perhaps cause he got poked and it got a taste for him?
I think a far better plot would have been if the venus flytrap became a boy and tried taking Corrine, thereby showing us the emotional side of Marshall. With an emotional side, we'd better be able to see pieces go together in the 100% fanfictionness C+M relationship. Marshall got emotional over Diana and we saw it could happen (then she tried to eat him and it all went downhill from there
).
This episode did the opposite of what we thought it was supposed to do (support C+M). it presented us with the reasons they would never be together for more than a day. C+M fans will go, "the ending, they practically rode off into the sunset!" at which point HailStorm will throw up and I'll point out that that scene virtually means nothing to a more than friends thing with C+M. again, L+M and J+M and Z+M and even Durst+Janitor have had better moments.
Maybe we're going about this in the wrong direction. Perhaps the C+M scenes/episodes are to show us why they could only be friends and connects to a lesson in life somehow?
The whole "he doesn't like me so i'm not talking to him" and "he doesn't pay that much attention to me so he must not like me" was so immature. i expected more of Corrine. oh, the schedule thing, very anti-attractive.
Did Josie seem a little jealous when she stated that Lucas was spending a little time with Diana?
remember when Corrine and Josie run out of the science room as Vaughn walks up and he asks what is wrong with Josie (and maybe Corrine too, i forget). They didn't do anything to him. a cut scene, perhaps? Or was it a line stuck in to try to fuel J+V badness feeling of another episode?
I also thought this episode lacked the educational aspect. The only time we learned anything was the 30 secs Corrine and Diana were talking about venus flytraps.
props:*we got to see the theater
*Brooke Nevin and Christoper Gaudet being on the show.
*J+Vness, for those into that
*J+Lness, for those into that
*exploration into Corrine's character
slops:*I get to rant about how i didn't like the episode
*the awkardness of the C+M scenes
*C+Mness theme of the plot
*lacking of halloween scare theme for the episode. Was it supposed to actually be like a halloween episode of BHH? It didn't seem like it.
*J+Vness, for those against that
*J+Lness, for those against that
*I didn't see the cheerleader's names in the guest stars. (two against the credits department)
*Thérèse beaupré's name missing accents on one of her credits (a third against the credits department)
*it don't give me the feeling of being more smarter for an education show (meant to do that
)
