I don't know! I thought everyone who has had Inquiry aired already got version 1. someone else explain it (and I'll delete my above post). Apparantley the UK version ended (you're okay with spoilers right? Just checking...) just with Josie seeing the ruined school and walking outside. Black out. Whereas, the one I saw, added in some conversation between Josie2 and the Janitor that explained Josie never had a greater destiny (well okay, that might be exageration on my part..., but her destiny was only to...) ... to do was bring Victor the ball, because he was the good guy. The Camera pans up and the audience sees a giant factory thing behind the school (it reminded me of the city of the Cthullu) and lightning crackles. Then: Black out. You can't really tell it's been changed unless you know.

Hello all - up here in Canada, CH Victoria aired Inquiry during it's Christmas weekday run (exact date: Wednesday, Jan 5th)... here's the end that I saw... (start scene) Josie emerges from now rundown BHH. She walks down the steps, looks around, and is stunned. Josie2: Josie, you should have listened to us. (camera pans over to Josie2 and Janitor). Josie2: Victor and Sarah were supposed to have that ball. Victor's the good guy. You were meant to bring it to him. It was your destiny. (Janitor removes glasses and is visibly disappointed). Josie2: But now... Josie... what have you done... (echo repeats the last phrase). (camera pans back to reveal back of BHH with some kind of weather phenomenon) So AuenDestiny, to respond to your question that you asked in the other thread, it would appear that I got to see the edited version. Out of curiosity, what's different with the first one? And that "what have you done"... that line is haunting & brilliantly written. Thanks Jim Although I am curious... was this ending put into place in case of the show not being picked up again? So I'm with the rest of you... waiting patiently for Season Four (hopefully!) Cheers, Ryan

Didn't Pheromones happen afterward Fate? And in that the Janitor looks fiondly on one of her "Josie for Predident" button saying something about her being destined for greatness but not yet.

Out of curiosity, what's different with the first one? yes, it appears you did see the added footage version, somewhat ever so slightly different though perhaps... did you see this as shown in JulieMary's pic of the scene?and Josie2 had all the dialog while the Janitor said nothing...interesting...no one else told us that before...and the Janitor removes his glasses and shows emotion...again no one else said this before...Thanks Ryan...that ending sounds really good...hope it's the one I get to see *nods*.Ryan, here how the original ending played out: (it's from the synopsis on this thread)*********************************************And that "what have you done"... that line is haunting & brilliantly written. Thanks Jim Although I am curious... was this ending put into place in case of the show not being picked up again? So I'm with the rest of you... waiting patiently for Season Four (hopefully!) Cheers, Ryan here's what Jim Rapsas said about the ending being changed:I know everyone is very interested in the ending to Inquiry. As of right now, the ending will be slightly different in US/Canada, but not majorly different. That's a good sign and here's why... Discovery is very optimistic about being able to do a 4th season starting Spring 05, so that's why the ending hasn't been drastically changed. So it seems to be a certainty that the season 3 finale "inquiry" will air internationally before it airs in the US. If season 4 gets picked up, this isn't really a problem, but if it doesn't, the end of Inquiry would likely be changed for the US airing. So for all you spolier devotees out there, whatever you hear about how Inquiry ends, it may not be true for US and Canadian audiences..if season 4 doesn't happen. but the ending was changed even though nothing was known about Season 4, and nothing has yet to said about Season 4... so maybe that was a slightly different #3 version you saw, and maybe there could even be another different version of the ending and that's possibly the reason it's taking so long to air in US and Canada...we don't know for sure...all we know at present is that there are two versions and the second version seems to have been added to make the ending more 'clear'...

Yes, that I did! It's very, very haunting (and this coming from someone who's watched WAY TOO MUCH TV). I wish I had one of those screen grab dealies so that I could put up pictures. Oh - one more thing of note. I rewatched the final scene and I can visibly see steam coming from Josie's mouth... so indeed this must have been filmed late in the season. I thought this might have been something of interest... but then I found some city of Hamilton minutes from council meeting and indeed the last episodes they taped there were in October 2003. I'm happy to be of service! My pleasure. Interesting... I went back and checked my tape again... in my episode she mentions "This can't be the school... can it?" instead of "No"... and then as I mentioned she doesn't say anything when she goes outside. You know, I'm finding this all very interesting... it's really great that Jim and the others have put this in place, and I'm really quite curious to see how it all pans out. It's interesting indeed that we've seen two versions of it already in different areas. Let the mystery (and speculation) continue! Slightly OT: I've done my part - I wrote to Discovery Kids yesterday And although I live only one hour from Toronto, I haven't (yet!) gone to the drastic measure of visiting Global to complain And I must go and try to see the Auchmar estate next time in Hamilton - I found a link that they actually gave guided tours on the first weekend in May in 2004, so I'm crossing my fingers that they'll have another one... Cheers! Ryan

I'm with Ryan and Gouki! The ending they saw is the same one I saw but the strange thing is I saw it around the same time that the season was ending in the UK so how does that work? Though I could be wrong but im sure it was about that time cuz I signed up a few days after watch the last epi and I was not happy the way it ended; come to think of it I think I yelled/screamed at the tv THAT CAN'T BE THE END!!

Just watched the show... it indeed was the new ending. Oh, and I don't know if this was brought up, but when I've been watching the credit crawl has been showing a 2003 copyright date, *except* for Inquiry. Hmm... That being said, can we assume then that we'll only be seeing the new ending now? Ryan

What was this 'new' ending? Is it a completely new ending or just the one that has been described many times before in this thread.
