Alrite, heres my theory on Mirror Marshall. (Hides from Hail's wrath..lol) Ok, Everyone is saying that M.M (mirror marshall) likes Corrine so that means that the real marshall obviously must not like Corrine, because the worlds are opposite. BUT! I re-watched hemispheres today and I analyzed it...lol (yes i have no life, j/k). Anyway, my point is that, that is not true. In hemispheres we learn that they are not total opposites, they are just able to be a certain way on the other side of the mirror that they couldnt be on the other side. Let me simplify. When Corrine told Josie that she has a "thing" for Vaughn on the other side she smiled at him all lovie dovie. That's not opposite! Josie likes Vaughn on the normal side of the mirror as well. Wouldnt she not like Vaughn then if everything is suppose to be opposite? Ok, with that in mind; when Corrine told M.M that he dosent show his emotions a lot and blah blah blah on the normal side of the mirror, wouldnt he be able to show his emotions on the irregular side of the mirror? YES HE WOULD! Which proves that the real Marshall does like Corrine. In the normal world he isnt able to show his feelings for her for whatever reason; but in the other world (the irregular side of the mirror) he is able to show his feelings, and his feelings were certainly that he liked Corrine. Therefore Marshall really does like Corrine, he just isnt assertive enough and he isnt comfortable with expressing himself. And Corrine knows this. Thats why when she came back to the normal world at the very end of the show she says to Marshall, "Maybe I'll tell you someday." She doesnt just mean the kiss, she realizes that Marshall does like her, he just isnt able to express it because he functions so much out of his left brain (science, math, reasoning vs. right brain: EMOTIONS, artistic....) And ever since that show the two have been inseprable. And dont tell me they are just being friends, because the eyes they make at each other are not "friend" eyes (go back and watch the very beginning of stopwatch with them two in the room). Im telling you guys Marshall likes Corrine...he just cant express it to her. Maybe nothing will ever happen between them, but they do like each other. ;D

*Wrath* (j/k) Right, I’m going to try to be as logical and objective as I can be to answer this. I do have some rather good points. To start I will say that you are not necessarily ‘wrong’ but neither are you irrefutably ‘right’. There are several important points that need to be taken into consideration: First of all I would like to remind the reader that normal!Josie and pink!Josie are very different personality types – pink!Josie is girly, giggly and prone to flirting. Josie is not. Then there is also the fact that bookworm!Vaughn looked less than keen and rather nervous at pink!Josie’s flirting. Now in the ‘real’ world there is little doubt that Vaughn likes Josie and yet there is argument as to whether Josie likes Vaughn (thanks, J/L shippers ). Now take into consideration that the mirror version of Vaughn is very, very unlike the normal Vaughn. For your argument to be valid, pink!Josie would have had to have met the real Vaughn and to go loopy over him. Either that or the mirror version of Marshall would have to be loopy about the mirror version of Corrine whom, if she even exists, he does not know. Right, that’s that out of the way. Now onto the bigger, slightly more cerebral stuff: Alternate Universes and What Makes an Individual. The Mirror World is what’s know in the sci-fi trade as an Alternate Universe. The people who populate that universe are Alternate Personalities. Are we with me so far? Good. Now one could argue that the Mirror World has always been there, living alongside the ‘normal’ universe but both unable to get into the other except for when Corrine went through the mirror. One could also argue that the universe was created the moment Corrine went through the Mirror. Both of these arguments are irrelevant as the effect is exactly the same. Assuming that the universe was created when Corrine went through the mirror has exactly the same impact. As we saw, the Alternate personalities all had families, histories, memories, friends. As the universe came into being, these also came into being just as if they had always been there and always would; meaning that the alternate personalities are all 3-dimetnional unique individuals, not just shallow reflections of their ‘real’ universe selves. Now two things go into making an individual: DNA (hereditary genes) and Environment – both Nature and Nurture. What you are is decided by genes, who you are is decided by your entire life experience and what you have made of it up to any given point. To use an analogy: A human being is a picture. DNA gives you the line work, your environment and experience does the colouring in. What I’m getting at is that in a totally different universe where things are geared differently, the life experiences and the people surrounding the alternate personalities will be wholly different. Apart from their DNA, the alternate personalities have little to nothing in common with their ‘real’ counterparts. Which means that they think differently, act differently, enjoy different things and are attracted to different types of individual. Going back to pink!Josie flirting with Vaughn: if she likes him then chances are she is attracted to quiet, intelligent, shy young men. There is nothing to say that she is attracted to angsty popular athletes like our own dear Josie is. So if the mirror version of Marshall is attracted to Corrine that is not irrefutable proof that Marshall in the universe we know is: it is not proof and the argument is not entirely valid.

I agree with you, prettyinpink. However, I don't think that season 3 focuses on M/C.

I agree with you prettyinpink, but again I don't think season 3 will focus on M/C. Maybe they will go out together but that's it. Season 3 is most likely to focus more on J/V/L.

I'm wondering if anybody has read and understood my post *sigh* It could be worse, people, I could have invoked Freud and nobody wants that >< I also could have actually gotten my books out and given you references for studies that would support my argument. that up there ^ That's the easy version. Because it's a pink bouncy ball From now on, anything spherical I come into contact with will get a victor face ;D

MY POINT EXACTLY. u seem to be able to get it across without people having a go tho [even tho HS will insist she isn't having a go merely stating the facts] C/M RULES

If you'd have read my post then you would see that I've adressed that argument and found several problems with it. *sigh* I'm insulted. You can't have an intelligent debate or discussion if you fail to consider what the other side has said and answered it.

Thanks guys for supporting me..it means a lot, lol ;D. But Hail I do get what you r saying, and I already understood that. But I just think that in the alternate universe Marshall is assertive and emotional, and in the normal world he isnt; which prohibits him to tell Corrine how he feels. But I do agree with the rest of you guys...I dont think that Season 3 will focus on them. Its definitely all about J/V/Lness. But all in all, the two of them have got something going on.

Well thankyou It is nice to see a C/M shipper being intelligent about things and coming up with theories and arguments that extend beyond 'They're cute together' It just frustrates me that so many people will skip over my delightfully logical post that I put a small amount of effort into just because it looks big and has some long words and don't agree with what they like to beleive. (And now the board images are messing up so I'm begining to get quite mardy) I will accept that I may not be right. I just like debating and intelligent arguments (I miss writing psychology essays... the sooner september comes around the better, I say)

I don't know about that. She seemed embarrassed in a good way. Something like, "Oh my gosh, i really like this boy?!" while jumping up and down all happy. Vaughn took it like, "Wow, a girl actually likes me? what do I do?" You could say that they acted that way because feelings they both had but not shared were exposed, but that's really not likely considering their characters. I think it could negate Marshall liking Corrine in that way completely. Me, for example, I dispell tiny crushes through logical reasoning and emotional detachment (awaits comments of Vulcan-ness ). No, I am not "geek-ish." But I think his character is capable of the same thing, even if not consciously aware of it, so he'd only view Corrine as a friend because the idea of being more would never play in his mind. To him, girls can just be friends. Emotional Marshall, yes the thought is there since Mirror Marshall does not have that emotional-denial thing his mind. Corrine will play against the "they are just friends" argument. Her feelings for Mirror Marshall will play onto normal Marshall and may eventually draw out the response of Mirror Marshall. But that means the feelings require some setting up by Corrine first. yeah, HailStorm, you were even losing me in your argument but I think i got through it. I, as well, have thought about the mirror world's existence against the real world. It proves to be a little complex. where is it? can I get a link? I've most likely seen it, just don't remeber it.

Yes, I agree with that. In the same way that people are capable of convincing themselves that they like a person *cough*Lucas*cough* others are equally capable of applying logic to a situation, predicting consequences (short and long term) and spotting the underlying cause (hormones, usually) and are then able to think clearly and the crush is no longer with us. Marshall may have had a day of thinking "Well... maybe" but then gave it some serious thought. I really don't think it's that complicated. You just have to understand basic psychology to grasp that the mirror-versions are wholly different individuals. Understanding the thing about different realities may be slightly more of a push. *sigh* and you were doing so well up until then *smack* Bad Vulcan. No cookie.

I get what you're saying, but I disagree on a central point. This isnt Star-Trek, it's Blake Holesy High. The weird things that happen in this series are designed to make a particular point. Shrink taught us about hormones, Cold taught us about chain of infection... this teaches us about, well, Hemispheres. The creaters were not trying to create an alternate universe, but instead one with swapped brains. The more logical left brain ones (Lucus, Marshall, Z, Victor) became artsy and expression-ful. However, their core personalities didnt change. Victor was still a callous ***, Z was still a nurturing teacher... they tossed the alternate world rules in favor of black hole rules. Josie and Vaughn still seemed to slightly crush, and Vaughn still seemed at unease about it. Mirror Marshall and normal Marshall probably feel the same way about Corrine. They are both singers and like chemistry, after all. The writers purposely simplified this episode because they wanted you to see a C/M connection. Since unlike the J/V/L conflict, it wasnt building up since the beginning, they had to make it really obvious for people to notice they werent just being friends. So, there's my response.
BTW, the Victor ball is really cool. ;D

THATS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS ABOUT TO WRITE!!!!!!!!!!! No joke! That's my whole point! People make a big deal out of this, when its quite obvious. It is BHH, its made for a younger audience. Just like scott said it was meant to show that there is a connection there. And what scott said about them still being the same is exactly what I was trying to say. They still had some of the same traits, they were just acting out of their right brains in that episode. They wanted to show that there is a connection between Corrine and Marshall; its just that Marshall isnt assertive enough to express it. THANK YOU SCOTTFAB! My words exactly!
