I hoped he was calling Marshall, but as he was in the middle of one of his make Vaugh look bad, impress Josie phases, it's not surprising he called her - he didn't just want assistance, he wanted her to see incriminating evidence. There was no evidence that he called Josie. I assumed that it was Marshall's phone and Josie just answered. Thats why he only said 'It's Lucas.' Maybe he realised he's never going to 'see' anything bad about Vaughn, so to speak. Not without his friends at least. If so, have you ever played with 5 players? I was taught that Hearts requires exactly 4 players.

I was taught that Hearts requires exactly 4 players. That's the easiest because then each player gets 13 cards. I've played hearts with anywhere from 3 to 8 people . You remove cards like the 2 of clubs or spades to make the card count come out evenly.

The one tme I played Hearts I played it with five people. I remember because I played it with my family and we're five. I don't remember how we did it, though...

Josie started with a small narriative in the beginning. The episode could have been better if she had closed the episode by saying something. The Vaughn and Victor heart to heart was good. In the beginning, when Lucas is marking the cards, the pen has a brand name on it. I can't make out what it is though. I liked this episode, but I didn't totally get what Lucas's big epiphony was at the end. It's like he was all determined to prove Vaughn a liar and then all of a sudden, he's like "I think there are things in Vaughn's life we will never know about." Huh? What exactly did he mean, and why the sudden change of heart? It's not like he saw Victor beating him or anything. It seemed to come from realizing that Lucas was going to go to extraordinary lengths to prove Vaughn is bad. It almost crippled him and it actually made Josie look bad this time. He probably came to the thought that it is not worth the effort to expose Vaughn for things that they can't understand about him (<--unsure). The "things that they can't understand" thing probably relates to the necklace that he saw but didn't know what it was. Kind of like a "man is the author of his own self-undoing" theme in this episode except Lucas was able to escape it. The conversation: Lucas: Who's there? Josie: Josie. Are you feeling alright? Vaughn told me you were acting kind of weird. Lucas: Don't worry about me. Vaughn's the one who's gonna to be feeling the pain tonight. Josie: What are you talking about? Lucas: He thinks I'm going over to his place to study. I'm gonna to prove to you once and for all that Vaughn stole the Chi ball from you and returned it to his dad. Josie: Lucas... Lucas: Did it ever occur to you that I might be right? If I find it that will be all the proof you need. Josie: Enough. How many times do i have to tell you that Vaughn didn't have anything to do with the Chi ball being taken from my room that night... and he is not spying for his dad. Lucas: I know you think I'm jealous of him and you. But ah... I'm not... jealous. Josie: Okay. So, are we cool? Lucas: yeah. But I'm still going over there to check things out. Josie: I'm not talking about this with you anymore, Lucas! Lucas: Why?! Are you afraid of what I might find out?! Josie: No! I have to clean your room, remember? Lucas: Forget about it. It doesn't matter. Josie: Yes, it does. A deal is a deal and you won, fair and square.

The painting, what was it? I thought Lucas made up the painting and was really looking through a wall but it is brought up in Vision, confirming that the place Lucas was looking really was a painting. Was it just a brown painting that resembled a wall?

I wondered the same thing... it looked like wood to me. Speaking of wood, when Lucas and Vaughn were in the lounge area and Lucas was leaving... didn't he hurt himself and the jewels that belong to his family on the foosball table... those things were sticking out. Kaytee

I was surprised when Lucas remarked that it was a painting. and it did have wood grain like real wood. but who would paint a canvas to resemble wood and why would anyone want to buy it? unless Victor was trying to create an illusion of a wood wall, it was strange. but the 'painting' was the same when Vaughn retrieved the pendant in Hologram. guess we most likely will not see it again though, since the pendant is gone.
