How blind is Lucas? Is he near- sighted? Far- sighted? Or just blind? I'd say near sightedness (myopia) with astigmatism. But Lucas, how bad is his sight? He couldn't see anything, he has bad sight. He's neither near- sighted nor far- sighted judging from when the blind fold came off and everyone in front of him appeared blurry. It was only when he put his glasses on he could see them properly. The same goes for when he had to look at the wall to determine if he could no longer see through them... since everything without his glasses was blurry he probably has astigmatism. and he's probably near sighted (myopic) which is why he wears his glasses all the time. if he was far sighted he'd only wear glasses for reading. I'd say from his without glasses view he's myopic with astigmatism.not really blind...just poor function due to misshapen cornea and eyeball depth not being normal, his eye is elongated. genetics...he was made that way...*nods*...

Hey, some people just have worse eyesight than others. I'm only about 9 inches away from the computer screen. When I look down at the keyboard, the letters are a little blurry. I can still make them out though it helps that I know where the keys are. For the record, my eyesight isn't blurry. Objects at a distance, especially letters, are out of focus - like, I can't see the details.

Or good taste. They also connect in the theme of "is Vaughn his father or not?" I re-watched Nocturnal the other day. When Josie is seeing Vaugh, but she thinks it is Victor, there is that theme of "is he or isn't he like his father?" I had never noticed it before. Vision raises the same question. Both episodes also raise the question of how the other characters see Vaughn, and if their perceptions are flawed or not.But Lucas, how bad is his sight? He couldn't see anything, he has bad sight. He's neither near- sighted nor far- sighted judging from when the blind fold came off and everyone in front of him appeared blurry. It was only when he put his glasses on he could see them properly. The same goes for when he had to look at the wall to determine if he could no longer see through them... why is Lucas so blind? Lucas's vision reminds me of mine without my contacts. I would guess extreme near-sightedness. My eye doctor says no one knows for sure exactly what causes eyes to go bad, but it happens. Without my contacts, I can't read things that are five feet away.

Both episodes also raise the question of how the other characters see Vaughn, and if their perceptions are flawed or not. then you must also ask: is Victor the good guy or the bad guy? and which, if Vaughn is indeed an image of his father, would Vaughn be? is Vaughn an image of his father? or an image of his mother? or his own person? being your own person is better than anything else could ever possibly be, Vaughn should value being an unique individual who can make his own decisions and find his own path above all else, and not be what someone or anyone else wants.
mostly we seem to get Josie's viewpoint of everything BHH. she believes Victor is 'bad' so we tend to believe the same. Josie's viewpoint directly influences every plot and every theme of BHH.
and as much as Lucas wanted to prove to Josie he was correct about Vaughn, at the end of Vision he conceded to Josie there were things Vaughn had to deal with no one else may ever know. and Josie seemed to appreciate Lucas' honesty.
so is Vaughn like his father? depends on who Victor actually is. and until we know, no amount of speculation will solve and provide an answer. as the Janitor so wisely says "You never know."

Brainwaves also seems to raise the same "Is Victor his father?" question, with that surrigated court thing. And also it's about how the others (or in this case, Lucas) see Vaughn.

My eye doctor says no one knows for sure exactly what causes eyes to go bad, but it happens. I'm thinking the stress on the eye - from reading in the dark and too much computer time (has to do with the eye trying to concentrate on the pixels). Also, the eye grows too. When this happens, the eye may lose focus - that's what they're always telling me at the eye doctor's. Brainwaves also seems to raise the same "Is Victor his father?" question, with that surrigated court thing. No it doesn't. Victor is Vaughn's father. This isn't a soap opera. You're also wrong about the surrogate court. Read the FAQ, last question in the "Misc" section

About the eye thing, sometimes is genethic (you're born wth it) other times is, as MC said, for Eye Stress (and in that matter, looking at the computer is extremly harmful, the same goes for TV but on a minor way) and, of course, as you get old, your eyes get old too, so they slowly loose focus (This one affects the close reading, I'm not sure if eventually affects the far sight too). No it doesn't. Victor is Vaughn's father. This isn't a soap opera. You're also wrong about the surrogate court. Read the FAQ, last question in the "Misc" section I know what the surrogate court is supposed to be in the show, it has been discussed here a thousand times. I'm just not closing myself to the posibility. And another thing a little off topic, I can't reply in the "Probability" thread >>Problem should be fixed now. It was doing that old locking itself for no reason and with no little lock icon thing that threads do every now and again. If it isn't fixed, I don't know what's wrong - Hail<<

I'm thinking the stress on the eye - from reading in the dark and too much computer time (has to do with the eye trying to concentrate on the pixels). That's what my MOM always told me; that reading with too little light will make your eyes go bad. (I'm assuming that is what you mean, as we all know that reading in the dark is impossible unless you are the janitor
But my newest eye doc told me that it hasn't been proved that reading with too little light weakens the eyes. So there, Mom! ;)

But my newest eye doc told me that it hasn't been proved that reading with too little light weakens the eyes. Weakening the eye, the eye losing its vision, aren't they practically the same thing? Well, it places strain on the eye muscles. How that's connected with how light hits the areas of the eye (wherever light his the back of the eye and the rods and cones), I don't know.

did any one else wonder why Marshall was the only one that Lucas saw the skull and/or bones of? shouldn't Lucas have also seen others?
and when Victor was discussing with Vaughn about being a 'Pearson'... was anyone else thinking, when Victor said "people fear and are jealous of the name", that didn't seem to be a problem for young Victor? I, for one, can't imagine young Victor having people fear him or his name, nor be jealous of him or his name at that point. not sure why that scene made me think about that...

Maybe Marshall was close enough for Lucas to see the bones... though I'm guessing Lucas may have taken a few trips towards the girls change room for gym class.
I think the name Pearson only gained notice when Victor created Pearadyne... he was pretty much an average pupil...

hey there guys well got some great links to these spoiler boards...thanks for all the interest in my episode... it was a fun one to shoot although Michael was very sick for the first 2 days of shooting - he had a very bad flu... I still have the gimmicked see-through cards that the art department made for Lucas seeing through the cards with his special glasses... hope you liked the episode cheers Mitch
