*** back on topic ***I totally loved Chirality!! best episode so far for Season 3 *nods*.
Chirality is such a fun episode and has Josie/Vaughn moments yay!!
I knew Durst's braid bun was fake ;D...and that was so funny whe she threw it at Lucas...wonder what he did with it? *hehehe*
the Janitor was going to say something else to Josie when she was leaving but Durst interrupted and he didn't finish.
the ending was so cute with Vaughn holding Josie's hand.
the Janitor looking in at them isn't what some seem to think it is...it wasn't implying he has the same left DNA...it was that he knew they finally know about they have it...and they weren't probably supposed to ever know...so now he has to prepare for that too in addition to all else that's happened with the BHH mysteries...

I also thought it was odd that she had short hair 1 minute & then long hair in the next. Lucas obviously gave it back to her cause she had it on at the end of the show.[/glow]

I gotta say, I like what Chirality had to say about the profession of teaching. Independance and encouragement to explore is much more helpful to teaching than the idea that strict dicipline builds character.
Plus, the episode had some great one liners.
"I left the rulebook where it belongs... in the last millennium".
Bring back cool Durst!
This episode is definately one of my new favorites.

As someone already said, since Josie was using Vaughn's notes and both thought they made a mistake, they probably should have reconducted the experiment with Lucas's notes. I don't think any of us addressed the definition of chirality after seeing the episode, that mirror opposites can not exist in the same space / on top of each other (as obvious as that may seem that it shouldn't actually have its own word ). This would really be the first episode where Durst and Z really go at it. Since both are opposite each other, the definition says they both can't exist so one would have to go - Durst getting fired. Did that make any sense?

I still don't know to pronounce chirality. FNM, watch the first part again or maybe you missed it and need to see this part, when Durst begins teaching about chirality she says chirality and that is the correct pronunciation. so watch this part before the opening credits and you'll know for sure.

Chirality was a great episode. The Josie-Z and Josie-Vaughn moments were some of the best I have seen in the entire show. The emotions were portrayed perfectly in both the acting and writing.
To many Josie showed her independence in this episode, but too me, it was pure selfishness. She was willing to fall on her sword and not let Vaughn and the others help her. Together, they would have easily come to the conclusion of chiral opposites, but Josie just had to do it her way. Is this episode a foreshadowing of the future or what?
Another point to her selfishness is when she is talking about MY Chi-Ball. When she talks about Vaughn's pendant on the other hand, it's OUR decision to send it back or not. She goes by the old what's mine is 100% mine and what's yours is 50% mine.
Maybe Victor was right after all.......

Funny and enjoyable episode. What more can I say that hasn't already been said? Umm, so prior to becoming a principal, Durst was a science teacher? I sorta pictured her teaching English or history.
And hopefully the conversation between Josie and Vaughn put an end to all those sibling speculations.
All in all, good! ;D

Chirality will air again March 5 in US and Canada.
BHH preview clip was of the 'snakes' going after Durst and Prof Z, bet that really 'got up their noses' *lol*, quick clip but quite funny.

I just realized: When Durst says "Mirror me baby" and she and Kirstie do a high five, that is an example of chirality. Their left and right hands, opposite forms, match even though they are not the same. the more I think about this, the more it hurts. I think I'll go stump some science teacher with this after my vacation has ended.

my chem teacher didnt remember chirality. it was some obscure unimportant topic from organic chemistry in college. a teacher saying that a topic in his/her field is unimportant?! *gasp* ;D ;D ;D I wonder how the BHH writers stumbled across chirality. It is not in any dictionaries I have seen. Chemistry itself is difficult. Half the class doesn't understand it (since it's taught in 10th grade when it's ideal for 11th grade) so chirality is an advanced idea by itself.

My university has it's own section in the Science building for molecular and chiral things.
