I just saw Tesseracte and I thought to myself is it possible the Janitor could be Mr.Middleton in some other demontone....as my friend commented 'they have the same glasses'. They also both take a liking to cyptic messages. Any comments?

They dont look alike though. Usually adults dont change too much in appearance over time. The big appearance changing times are when you're young or old, and both Middleton and the Janitor are middle aged. Good attempt, but no dice.

We've had lots of 'The Janitor could be [insert name of character here]' speculation before, none have held water. Mind you, this isn't too bad... unfortunately, we're pretty deffinite that they are seperate characters. For one thing, the Janitor seems not to be working against Victor (at least not in a direct manner), whereas Middleton was fleeing Victor's forces in Tesseract. Plus Middleton really gave a lot more away about himself - that he was involved with studying tesseracts, he was fleeing some rival forces, he used the device in full view of Lucas. He also talked differently and a lot more - he was twitchy, nervous and tended to rabbit on a bit (plus can you see the Janitor saying 'my boy' to anybody?). The Janitor on the other hand is secretive, all but monsylabic and monotone in his speech (not due to stupididy or lack effort - it's more of an efficiency, an attitude) and so far has only used weird devices alone or in front of Josie2. Its' a nice try though, for sure.

*hehe* yeah, I know you meant "dimension" MC, just having fun with you , at least that's what I hope you meant. *nods*
and we know for sure that the Janitor is not Blake Holsey. the Janitor possibly being a clone like Josie2 is a nice thought. but he's probably more like Avenir's rival or works for Avenir's rival.

Having him be a clone of Aveneir is possible, but then he'd probably know more about what Aveneir is up to, like when Tyler switches sides. But how does Josie2 know?

...whereas Middleton was fleeing Victor's forces in Tesseract. Grant! Middleton, ho! onward my minion and my other minions too! I'm with what Mac said. Middleton can't be the janitor because of the way their personalities are. Adult personalities really don't change like child's personalities. Middleton also seemed to have a thing against Vaughn where the janitor expresses nothing to Vaughn. *hehe* yeah, I know you meant "dimension" MC, just having fun with you , at least that's what I hope you meant. *nods* I merged the posts. I didn't edit anything. *serious*

Middleton never said anything specific about Vaughn. Lucas did. Middleton didn't even say names. Lucas said 'do you mean Victor?' and Middleton said 'Not just Victor, remember the acorn never drops far from the tree' and then later Lucas said Middleton warned him about Vaughn and Josie said 'funny, that's just what you've been saying.'
Look at my wonderful misquoting.
I think if Lucas had actually quoted Middleton directly he'd have stood more chance of Josie et al believing him.
See, Middleton might not have meant Vaughn. He might have meant that other son of Victor's.... Oh... Or maybe some protege type. Or he may have been talking about absolutely anything. The guy was panicking and nervous and nuts anyway.
Maybe he had to get out of there because he had stolen the janitor's glasses and didn't want to get caught wearing them.

*looks at MC* they posted a reply with just one word and two stars? that's just odd.Having him be a clone of Aveneir is possible, but then he'd probably know more about what Aveneir is up to, like when Tyler switches sides. But how does Josie2 know? how does Josie2 know? maybe Middleton told her. don't you find it odd that the Janitor supposedly knows the future by saying Josie will change the world and saying that she knows everything she just doesn't know it yet, but then he doesn't know where Tyler was going? the Janitor would probably be smug and not so low key if he was Avenir's clone, which probably negates that. the Janitor usually tries to stay out of the "limelight" and in the shadows.don't you wonder who's side Middleton is on? and I've said before it's not automatic that it's Victor he warns about. Josie2 is on Victor's side, the Janitor is with Josie2, so if Middleton was talking about Victor then he'd be against Josie2 and the Janitor. but if he was talking about someone else then he's on Josie2 and the Janitor's side.

you're assuming there's only two parties involved. maybe there are 3 warring factions.

See, Middleton might not have meant Vaughn. He might have meant that other son of Victor's.... Oh... Or maybe some protege type. Victor doesn't have another son... If a season 4 storyline came up where Victor approached Vaughn and told him that he has a brother, that would be too soap opera-ish for me. Protege type? Grant? but that phrase "the apple never falls far from the tree" applies only to offspring - the apple being related to the tree that it grew from.

He deffinitely said Victor though, even if he didn't say anything about Vaughn directly. And we know it was about Victor because Jim was asked whether 'the apple never falls far from the tree' could reffer to Kelly and Josie and, as his phrase was similar to what Victor tells Vaughn, whether he worked for Victor. Jim said no, he was not with Victor, he was running from Victor's forces so it really must mean Vaughn.
Actually, yeah. Forget everything that's been said so far, this it it! ;D
Yes, it was deffinitely Victor he was running from, as I said above. There's no evidence of Middleton having dealings with the Janitor of Josie2.

I wasn't seriously suggesting Victor had another son. I was finding holes in my theory as I wrote it.
Of course, I was completely serious about the glasses. In fact, that's what I think everything in BHH revolves around. Yup. Many a time I've lost my glasses only to find them atop a swirling vortex. Tch.

okay, I'm listening, do tell. I want to hear this. please.
and be sure to include everyone, especially the Janitor and Avenir, and Josie2 too. where does Middleton fit in this? now you've got me curious. *nods*

Since when does Victor have "forces"? He's got some interns. And he doesnt seem to be very malicious, just shady. If anything, he's running from Sarah.
