Yes. When Corrine goes through the wormhole in the first episode doesn't Durst say that previously Middleton and a janitor both vanished? I presumed because the janitor is not a real janitor and somebody got rid of the real one so he could get the job.

Personally I think that Tesseract is still an important episode. Just because only one character can remeber any of it does not mean it's a meaningless throwaway. -For on thing it established the idea that there's more than one 'side' (if you don't count the science club as a side) -For another, it stopped Middleton from being merely a throwaway device to kick the plot off. -It reaffirmed Lucas's suspicions about Victor and Vaughn (although he didn't really need the warning) - I do seriously think this will be important should there be a fourth series. -It planted seeds of doubt about Lucas in the mind of Josie, making her more resistant to his attempts to turn her against Vaughn (which adds to the Triangle of Doom thing, causes her to side more with Vaughn and will probably have future implications - possibly even Josie feeling betrayed by Vaughn and having to eat humble pie and appologise to Lucas for doubting him) -We saw just what kind of mental calculations Corrine is able to perform - again, this may be important in future. -It showed us that Lucas is willing to sacrifice his own safety and take risks (climbing through the vent when there was the chance he could have ended up anywhere including deep space. And there's probably a lot more that I've forgotten about. Oh and my fangirly moment: Lucas gets two Marshall-hugs for the price of one ;D There's nothing quite like an M/L moment to make an episode extra special So unlike an 'it was all a silly, silly dream' episode, both the audience and at least one character have learned important new things, seen hints, foreshadowing and have gained new insight. So cheer up, Tesseract is more useful than you think! So turn those moans into... er... phones... to call and congratulate the writers on a rather good episode. Personally, I think the old Janitor was probably carefully removed in one way or another to make room for the current Janitor. Which ties in nicely with the time travelling and prophesising because the Janitor presumably arrives a bit before Josie (who is like the catalyst for things kicking off) to prepare, integrate into the school and so forth.

Good. Let's all like the episode again. Yay.
However, without a fourth series, the episode just creates questions and problems that are annoying. So we can like it for now (I like it) but in fifty years time we'll look back on it and curse it for making us still obsess about what the hell was going on fifty years later.

Having him be a clone of Aveneir is possible, but then he'd probably know more about what Aveneir is up to, like when Tyler switches sides. But how does Josie2 know? [glow=blue,9,999] I think he was asking a rhetorical question. He knew exactly what Tyler was doing.[/glow]

Ok, (btw this is completely off current subject and on the topic one) I say that Mr. Avenir is Middleton's Great, great something who went through a tesseract/wormhole and taught his great-great-something (middleton) all he knows/knew. Then Middleton taught his new apprentice (the janitor) all he knew, then left to the next generation in Wormhole.

If you recognize that it is off topic, why do you post it in the thread? Make a new thread. *rolls eyes*

But It goes along with this thread, not what they were talking about, so HEH !
Does anyone want to say anything about my theory?
