This is great. I only started typing on this thread because I was bored and avoiding work and now I understand all the things I wondered about. The Internet works! Thank you.
Hmm, filming after a long day. Must be so fun being an actor. Then again, at least actors are paid to do it. Writers have stupid working hours and they do it to themselves. (Not that I'm an writer. Not a real one. But today my lecturer told me I'm allowed to hand in double the word limit because that's okay for *talented* writers) (boast) (slaps self) (back on topic)
The cake making was rather ironic since my friend made one the day before using a recipe book and it came out like a small flapjack. Which I also ate since he couldn't hand it in to his cake competition. If you do use the list to make a cake, put in WAY more sugar than you think necessary.
Canon. It means 'rule' doesn't it? A general one by which something is judged. Or (I have just learnt) the works of a particular author/artist that are recognized as genuine. If you're going to shoot someone with it, you need another 'n' in there.
Right, off to draw upside down... I, I mean do work.

totally forgot before about saying there's no Season 1 Webisodes. guess they're like the JSMs and Season 1 got the short end. okay, so now I want both Season 1 and Season 3 Webisodes to be added. I really want to see what they do for Magnet and Culture. And I was just thinking, the Professor Zachary seen in the webisodes seems much more over the top than the Professor Zachary from BHH episodes. But I always thought Professor D was way more over the top than Professor Zachary ever was. He is nice, she is mad. But I think Z seems more like the over the top D in the webisodes. Two things....NO; three things: A) She is MAD. In real life... A complete nutter. B) Yes, he is more down to earth because of the serious nature of problems, usually involving the possible or even probably death/disfurgurement/displacement/disgrace of one of his students, and.... C)He is more over the top because the buggers insist on writing 90 seconds worth of material for a sixty second spot. You gotta push it. Also we always tended to shoot them at the end of a very long day. Normal eppy all day.... Webisode at nap time. I've always liked Valerie, she's great. I just love Chirality, it's one of my favorite episodes.
over the top? then Webisode Z can be called FunZ then?
*wonders if anyone else has taken the button/knob thingie that moves the video along after the webisode is finished and pulled it back to any desired point and diggled it to make Z dance...try it...it's fun*

It really helps when you guys use quotations *hint, hint* because the buggers insist on writing 90 seconds worth of material for a sixty second spot - 90 seconds can't fit into a 60 second slot so 30 seconds have to cut off for the 60 second time limit no...what is spoken normally in 90 seconds can be spoken swiftly to fit into 60 seconds. Also we always tended to shoot them at the end of a very long day - Sounds like a threat. "to shoot" as in "to record" - "I wanted to shoot the scene at 4pm but the producers wanted to shoot it at 4am." (Not that I'm an writer. Not a real one. Heatherbeck is. I wonder how she is doing...

You guys ever watch Bill Nye? Mr. Rogers? Mr. Dressup? [glow=blue,9,999] You forgot Beakman's World & Mr. Wizard.
You know what'd be cool? If they came up with a show that's sort of like the Webisodes, but it's 30 min. long. They could call it Professor Z's classroom, or the Science Club & have all the students that are in the Science Club: Josie, Vaughn, Lucas, Corinne, & Marshall & they help Professor Z do the experiments.[/glow] I have a degree in science from Dalhousie (psychology). [glow=blue,9,999] Cool so does that mean that if you weren't an actor you'd've become a pshchologist?[/glow] Yep, Hail. It is Equation. Wish I could just taste the cake. It'd make things so much simpler. What he forgot to tell us is about all the times you have to pull an ingredient out of the finished cake so you can mess around with it and make a new cake. Or a crossaint. [glow=blue,9,999] Yeah, or he could've added an ingredient (chocolate) & made a totally different flavor. I love it when he says "That's good cake!" cause that's what I say when I eat chocolate cake which is my favorite especially Devil's Food.[/glow]

You know whats funny, Jeff? My chemistry teacher has his own Bill Nye-style chemistry fun show on the local programming channel. It was called Chemistry King, and it actually ran pretty long. A couple years, at least. He enjoys showing the bloopers episode every year to his chem students. He singed off his eyebrows once. I would die laughing if Bill Nye did that.

That's what I asked Jim on his Creator's Corner board, if we could have an episode or two of bloopers, but he hasn't replied yet. I'd enjoy seeing them, they'd be so much fun to watch. Jeff, any favorites or really funny bloopers you want to tell us about? please?

The webisodes often remind me of a history teacher in my high school who was a bit over the top, to keep students attention. We used to hear him screaming down the hall all the time. I was pretty glad I never had him as a teacher. I like laid, back approachable Z in the epsidoes much better. Jeff, I wish they had given you more time, or less material, in the webisodes so it would have been less frenetic. Ian, who wrote for Bill Nye, who is, indeed, the REAL Bill Nye, was the science advisor on Strange Days. He wrote the Webisodes, so, you are getting a bit of a Bill/Jeff combo. Cool. Just out of curiosity. Did he come up the Charles Snow story about mapping the spread of cholerea near the well pump in the episode Cold? I got a kick out of it when I saw the episode because I didn't learn about the story through science classes but in a seminar I had just attended on the use of graphic design for displaying data. His map is considered a classic by the guru of the field, Edward Tufte.

You should collect a DVD's worth and release a collection of Smeg Ups. Except you won't be able to call them Smeg Ups. That'd be stealing.

When we inevitably get BHH dvds, they should include bloopers as a bonus feature, along with behind the scenes moments, and crew interviews. It'd be nice.

we had tons of Bloopers on BHH. wonder what they did with them. Be fun to show them. two possibilities 1. used as extras for a dvd that was suppose to come out way long ago but somehow it was called off 2. can't be shown due to time, that's what happened to one of the episodes of another show on my DVD take a hint *points to my avatar while listening to ciara feat petey pablo goodies *

And also cast and/or director commentaries! Would settle for fan commentaries (would more than settle if I got to be involved *keeps dreaming*) Ooh, and deleted scenes too, if there are any (you know, bits cut for time, scenes that messed with the flow of an episode). That would be suuuper. And maybe a couple of scans from the series bible.

Why ask for a couple of scans when you could ask for copies of the series bible itself? After it's well and truly definitely not-going-to-come-back all over, of course.

scans are good because most of the series bibles are not available to get in stores. I remember searching this website about the bible for my dvd and to see if I can purchase it but I just found out that the series bible was in stores until in 1997 when the creator of the show was in court for a case, I don't know what it was but after the court case, the creator told everyone that bought the series bible to never see it to anyone so I only rely on the scans of the bible from the dvd
