[glow=blue,9,999] I love all the Webisodes, but my favorite 1 has to be Wormhole cause you get to see his pretty blue eyes. Which is your favorite?

[glow=blue,9,999] I think that Chemestry & Cold are the funniest ones. I like the part in Chemestry where he does the caveman thing & the part in Cold when he says the word chill. Those 2 always crack me up. [/glow]

I'm not sure if I like the webisodes that much. It's a little disconcerting to have Professor Zachary addressing me since he's fictional. And I don't like the one about wormholes because he is talking about REAL science and doesn't know where a REAL wormhole is. But if he's Professor Zachary then, yes he does. And if he doesn't, then Professor Zachary doesn't exist and if he doesn't, why is he talking to me? I don't like the scary merging of fiction and reality. Must go hide under a rock.

then who would he be talking to if not the person viewing him? the blackboard? an object he happens to be holding? Mr BunnyPants?
Z: "well Mr BunnyPants today we learn the correct method to mix a chemical compound, better put these goggles on too, we don't want to take an unexpected trip through the wormhole without proper protection."
umm...well, anyway, the webisodes are fine as they are, it's Professor Z teaching Professor Z kinds of things. take it in the spirit it was intended, and you'll enjoy the webisodes too.

I'm not saying they should change the webisodes and I'm happy that you guys all enjoy them so much.
Just for me personally, I can't enjoy them. I like my fiction fictional and not talking to me.

LOL at Z introducing Bunnypants and having bunnypants teach everyone, by the way it does take forever to view it probably because I have dial up.

I believe she meant that it is a bit incorrect to have Professor Z (a fictional character) talk to the audience (real people). That it would be better if Jeff Douglas (a real person) talks to the audience (real people).

I believe she meant that it is a bit incorrect to have Professor Z (a fictional character) talk to the audience (real people). That it would be better if Jeff Douglas (a real person) talks to the audience (real people). I believe the Webisodes are meant to be somewhat interactive. The idea, Joy and Mirror, is not so much that a fictional character should cross over into reality as it is that characters from reality should cross over into fiction. The task is not on Z to come to you, but for you to imagine that you are a student of Z's, ie; fictional. You guys ever watch Bill Nye? Mr. Rogers? Mr. Dressup? They're all fictional, and they all use direct address, that is, they speak, well, in a word, directly to the audience. The idea behind the Webisodes is that you get to see Z teach, that you get to be in the classroom, well, more likely a tutorial, and get your own private little science lesson. As to the Wormhole... I think there are two answers to dispel the apparent logic conflict: A) I believe what Z says in the Webisode is that "...I don't know how to find them." That is not contradicted in the series. Z is (un)lucky enough to find himself, literally on top of one, that does not constitute finding one, and... B) The existence of the Wormhole is a secret. Are you a member of the Science Club? Well then why would Z blab about it to you?

actually, *being serious now*, if Jim wanted to make the webisodes really really real, he should have gotten Bill Nye to do them with Jeff as Jeff as his sidekick, and they could discuss science and interact with each other and the audience, those would be excellent webisodes. I miss Bill Nye, wonderful show.

OMG, please tell me you watched Bill Nye, Jeff. That would be the coolest thing ever. Almost.
Auen: I'm sure having Bill Nye make a guest appearance isnt cheap.
And whats to say that Jeff isnt good in science. Maybe he's really good at it, and just chose acting.
